Does anyone else think that if you squint you can see Walter McCarty in Donnie Freeman's game?

You can compare them here, if interested in the stats ... it appears to me that McCarty is MUCH the better shooter, if not overall player:

It's down to how they are going to be used with Freeman and Alex Wilkins I believe. UK is offering both more money than Alabama. I just don't think Pope can offer anyone a starting position. You can't be starting DJ Wagner and then have Reed and Rob come off the bench. The best players should play the most, otherwise it's coaching malpractice. Kids are getting paid now. If they work hard and deserve to start they will start. It's that simple.

Haven't heard anything about Wilkins or Rancik other than that they visited campus the last couple days.

Pretty much all the talk today was surrounding Freeman. Will be a huge W for Pope if he can pull this off.

Really don't think the positional log jam will be an issue in this case. Oats is wanting him as a core star piece to take them back to the Final Four so that role kinda sells itself.
Also Pope is weird at distributing guys' minutes so that wouldn't really be an advantage for UK anyway.

But Jeff Goodman is predicting he picks UK and he has way better sources than me so let's hope I am proven wrong.

Bristow missed almost the whole season with a bad ankle that rumors have swirled may be at least somewhat chronic after questionable management by our old friend Billy Clyde and Tarleton State. Onyejiaka also missed the entire season and reportedly may have a heart condition jeopardizing his ability to ever play again. That really only leaves Garrison and Davis-Fleming as players they’re counting on to give them anything at the 4 and 5 spots. I think they’re absolutely still trying to add one more guy who could get big minutes at those spots if he’s good enough.

How do you or anyone know what we or any other team is offering these guys. I doubt that you or anyone on this board have a clue what kids are offered or paid. I have no idea what kids get but my guess and with zero inside or outside knowledge, it would be less than half of the numbers that are thrown around.
