If UConn is truly out of the picture I like UK’s chances better.
With their current roster, they seem like more of a threat for Wilkins than Freeman.
Have to assume Amari Allen is planning on declaring for the NBA even though he hasn’t yet. Assuming Holloway is done there, they have no PG but a ton of wings

I really don’t know…can someone clarify what injuries Freeman had the past couple of years? Were they related injuries or two separate injuries?
I haven’t seen much on Wilkins’ front besides UK going to see him Saturday and then him visiting yesterday.
The market for PGs is much better for the players than the SG/wing market. There’s just only so many guys these top programs could see becoming their starting PG. I just have no clue what the expectation is with Holloway. I just assume he’s done but with Oats who knows. (All of this to say even with a much smaller total budget, I could see Bama offering about the same as UK due to dwindling PG1 Options)

It's disturbing he insisted on visiting Bama even after visiting us and being our clear #1 option at his position, but as long as he ultimately signs, I'll gladly take it.
No inside information here, but what I wanna believe is that Freeman’s agent is just angling for a counteroffer.
Hopefully, it was just an effort to get UK to raise their offer.
Yeah, I don't think UConn would be out of the picture due to the players they have now. UConn got a guy I really wanted, and posted about here/old board since he was in high school, in Najai Hines. But he is a Center -full stop - that could play some old-school PF in a pinch. Maybe it's a money issue or something else with UConn, or maybe they recently signed someone I don't know about. Otherwise, I would think UConn is definitely a big player to be worried about with Freeman.
So now it’s between a basketball school and a football school, shouldn’t be a hard choice.
We're getting him guys. . . it's going to be a huge day. And by nightfall we will be a FF contender. The pieces are coming together.

I'm not sure that squad is beatable by anyone other than a few NBA teams. Just need a couple more bench pieces.
Kam, Rancik, Cox, and a backup 5. Thats a pretty good but not elite roster. Stokes could change that.
We need a lot of players to fill out the team, and we know that Pope will make stupid substitutions like normal
Mark Pope. Sadly when you look at the totality of the evidence in all these recruitments they only consistent variable is him. The money is always there, whether JMI makes an issue or not. Roster, Fit, prestige, market, PT. The only reason they don’t commit is because of they will be playing for him.
