I don't know a credible source including KSR, UK Athletic Department or the coach Pope himself that has said a single thing different. They just got you guys carrying the water for them.
Every single “report” I have seen has called that number a “reported” number, meaning, they heard it somewhere.

I have searched and haven’t found anything released by UK stating what the NIL spend was. Colleges, players, and other players are not required to release this information, and I’d venture to guess that any number we have seen is inaccurate. Even if UK did release a number, there are deals a player can make outside of their agreement for name/image/likeness that makes it almost impossible to report.

I’d be happy to admit that I just haven’t found that information yet if you want to provide. My guess is anything shared will be what I just said, speculation and assumption.

So, he's just the polar opposite of YOU? Don't come back with anything other than a valid reason why my opinion of you is wrong. Why are you credible at all...besides your own narcissistic reasons, of course? Yep, I'm that guy, so it's easy to put me in my place for calling you out unless you're fos! From all I've seen...you're just fos!
What?

Announcing tomorrow, yes it will be usc
Hey Bruce.. you seem like you have some inside sources. You seem really confident that Collins is going to USC, which I'm sure he probably will, but I also saw where you seem very confident that Stokes is coming to UK. Do you still think Stokes is coming here? And if so, how confident are you?

Trilly has already called it for USC, and UK and UL are not really involved and are hats on the table. UK was out last fall when they couldn't agree to terms.

Whew this is about to get brutal. “He needs a 3rd year” it’s going to be pretty bad when the portal players start coming in. No name guys ranked 88 in the portal, the videos of their games at Southwestern Louisiana. The justifications. By next season all do the guys making content excuses for the Pope years will act like they never said he’d make it etc. lots of guys setting up the “I win” no matter which direction it goes. It’s gonna get wild here.

He’ll even if Collins came I don’t know what it would do anyway. Pope can’t land top guys consistently so it would be likely just being overpaid for a guy. Fire should be sweltering 800 degrees by next December and that hopefully does this crap.

Yea I think Stokes is coming here,he's making a visit here, and I don't believe Kansas can match what Kentucky will offer , and I think the Nike affect will get this one for the cats, Pope has to have him ,more than Kansas,This poster is right Collins ,had a chance earlier, but couldn't seal it

Very rarely do we land a west coast player. I am as down on Pope as anybody but it's almost a waste of time to recruit those guys. We've had a few but not many.
The ones we got almost always flopped. Two we got transferred back to the west coast. Why bother is the correct answer.

I bet it was nowhere near $22 million.
I thought we were talking about credible sources. If you watch tv or internet you can find many examples of people quoting 22M. Uk and Pope don't dispute it. It is a fact until someone in the disputes it as far as I am concerned. It makes us look stupid so Pope and the AD office has no reason not to dispute it if it is truly false.

Have you ever asked yourself if you were in there shoes would you openly dispute it if it were false when it damages you the way it has. I know 100 percent I would come out guns a blazing shooting down this as it has a terrible look for all involved. The only reason not to is because it is in fact true. Would you dispute it?

He trying to improve his stock. That’s all it is. I promise you he was not offered 7 mil a year. 2-3 at most and even that would be insane.

And yes I believe it, it’s been confirmed. Why the hell wouldn’t believe it?
You can promise me the moon, I won't believe you unless you can prove it?

Who are you?

Ben Roberts of the LEXINGTON HERALD-LEADER reported it.

If he was in error, why didn't UK dispute it?

So you telling me if pope offers a kid 9 mil and a different coach that he really likes offers 1 mil, he’s gonna take the 8 mil dollar pay cut?

if he’s that damn stupid then I don’t want him anyways
How did the numbers go from $9M/2.7M to $8M/1M?

While we are waiting on Collins to commit to someone else. Former recruit Jordan Smith Jr. (Arkansas signee) named Naismith high school player of the year and first team All American. Abdou Touree another Arkansas signee 2nd team. Hits just keep on coming.

JMI will get blamed here but I will have to see proof that he will.make more at USC.
Maybe he was willing to leave the West Coast for a certain amount and it didn't come through.
Big time NIL at USC goes to football players.
Collins tweet right after signing with Crocs should have been all you needed to see that JMI was the problem.

I think it's JMI and Pope. They split it 50/50. The root issue has and will always be Mitch until JMI is gone and Pope is replaced.

JMI is 100% a problem. Yes. For everyone who keeps bringing up football, JMI isn’t going to affect recruits #175-500 which is what we mainly get. Also if you look at football, our biggest signees have…..an injury they’re coming off of. In basketball our biggest signee had….an injury he’s coming off of. Point? When other back off due to injury our stars align. JMI and Kentucky want you to see good recruits signing, those recruits can’t find better deals. It’s possible. But until we go and try to recruit top 25 talent in football JMI probably won’t make an impact. In basketball we’re after top 1-25 players. So people not getting it please let it sink.

At the same time Pope is doubling the problem. Calipari was bringing in top recruits even with the JMI deal likely known. I don’t believe Acuff was going to de-commit from Kentucky over JMI.

I don’t understand what the problem some of these guys are having. Mark pope has a BAD 12 year history, is not known in recruiting circles, and has a low-mid reputation with no NBA player success. He’s not going to be teamed with JMI and be able to recruit unless we go extreme and pay out the ***. Until Mark is gone and a qualified coach gets here this isn’t happening barring something like offering a lot more than the next guy. Good luck doing that with Mitch and JMI telling their lapdog Mark what to do. Mitch doesn’t even want tons of booster cash going into basketball. He controls everything when money is involved. He doesn’t care about winning. And I get it some of these guys like Mark but if you can’t see the issues with why we need a new coach then you’re not very good at this.
