You don’t know ball. Otz is a phenomenal coach and someone who should be the next UK coach if the likes of Tommy Lloyd and Dusty May turn us down (they will).
How does that mean the person you quoted doesn't know ball?

Otz lost in the 2nd round as a 3 seed--to a 6 seed--just last year. He had some of these same players.
In the 2023 tournament, he lost as a 6 seed to an 11 seed.

He's a good coach. He hasn't been farther than the Sweet 16. He hasn't made it out of the 2nd round in half of his NCAA tournament appearances.

Do I think we beat them? No. But I'd rather take my chances with Otzelberger than Hurley.

Because you are dumb. Go look at those rosters.

Bruh, It's 6 hours away.

Lexington is 5.
Your point?

ISU fans already travel well, they’re a 2 seed an are excited, and UK fans are at an almost nadir of apathy. UK fans will most certainly not outnumber them by any major amount, and probably outnumber them at all.

THAT is exactly what I’m worried about. That’s our two biggest weaknesses. Dunno man. Don’t uh…..don’t have a good feeling about this one. And every time I’ve had ilike this, something crappy happens to us.
Exactly, it’s a good draw, but we could lose to anyone. It’s not like I think we would beat Iowa State anyway.

I'll take playing SEC competition experience over the WAC all day long & twice on Sunday. Anything can happen but Santa ******* Clara scares me not one bit.
Not scared per se. We lose, we lose. But man that team just matches up decently with us.

This is not an easy bracket considering how inconsistent our team is. SC will not be easy and then ISU is a season ender imo. Also ISU fans will travel like crazy to St. Louis.

The bigger concern for me on their offensive rebounding is this, do they get away with pushing in the back like Florida does?
Man, I tell ya, Florida gets away with a ton of BS! At least, they did against UK. Was either over the back or a shove in the back on damn near every rebound they grabbed. Burns my *** just thinking about it. Or, how about that hip check that 7 footer gave Williams on the sideline, directly in front of the ref?! Not to mention, every screen they set, is a moving one.

We all thought that we had an easy draw in 2018 before we crapped the bed against Kansas State. Then we thought the same in 2019 when the region opened up. Auburn, minus their best player, still managed to beat us.

Then there were of course the first round losses under Calipari.

I can't really lend my hopes to an easy bracket ever again after all of those clown shows.
Let's just hope that Santa Clara and Iowa State have their own clown-shows against us.

Santa Clara lmao Steve Nash ain’t walking through that door! Not afraid of them at all, whatsoever. Decent team, but I like our chances. I also like the draw against Iowa State. Bring it the **** on!

But we should also travel like crazy to St. Louis.

ISU's campus is in Aimes--6 hours from St. Louis.
Lexington is 5 hours from St. Louis.

I'm in Paducah. The western end of the state is 2.5 hours from St. Louis.

If we're saying Kentucky fans just don't care as much as Iowa State fans, then we may have become Indiana already. But if we do care, then there's really no excuse not to turn the Enterprise center blue on Sunday.

Not saying we won't travel. Just saying ISU will be out in force and they have a real shot at a FF and they will be stoked.

Did you have a bad feelings on games? We won like St. John's, Arkansas, UT or Vandy. Because if you did then that could be taking us good omen, right😁

You know, everybody says they're like a bigger team, but if you look at the rosters, including the starters, they're not. Yes they rank high and offensive rebound again that's in the WCC. They lost by 28 points to New Mexico this year. Yes they gave Gonzaga OK games but we also gave Florida OK games and beat so much tougher teams such as St. John's UT Vandy and Arkansas. I feel strongly that we will beat Santa Clara and Iowa State and I'm not sure who we play cause I don't think it will be UT.

That’s…not that far of a drive, especially for a fan base that travels like theirs. Lexington is 5, you think we won’t have fans that travel?
With gas up about 75 cents to a dollar and who knows what they're charging for tickets. God bless them

Santa Clara is beatable, have to play our best game against Iwa State. I actually think 2nd round is a much tougher matchup than 3rd. Virginia is a pretty good matchup for us. Michigan would bury us if we ever got there.
The 2nd round is against the 2 seed. It's supposed to be a lot tougher
