Easiest bracket we could’ve asked for

They gave us the toughest 10. Besides that if we can make it past that, Iowa St and UVA or Tennessee is the best we could have hoped for.

We all thought that we had an easy draw in 2018 before we crapped the bed against Kansas State. Then we thought the same in 2019 when the region opened up. Auburn, minus their best player, still managed to beat us.

Then there were of course the first round losses under Calipari.

I can't really lend my hopes to an easy bracket ever again after all of those clown shows.

If we make it past the first game I just do not see us beating Iowa St. They are the real deal. I would rather face UCONN vs Iowa St.
No game against a 2 is easy however Iowa st is the one you'd most want to play I think. Houston UConn and Purdue coaching and talent would make us look stupid. ISU we might have a shot to upset they've choked a lot in the past

We shall see but I predict a huge Iowa St. win

We beat Santa Clara in a close one and get walloped by Iowa State. That's how I'll be putting money down, anyhow. I agree that UCONN would have been the preferred 2 -- they looked awful.

There's also a potential re-match w/ UT in the S16 at play. Imagine a repeat of last yr, where they blow us out after we beat them twice? Board will be fun to say the least if that happens.

You got to be kidding me. That would be terrible

To everyone saying this draw is terrible,

What does a good draw as a 7 seed look like?

The 10 seed's: Mizzou and A&M have beaten us. We couldn't get them. But...are you happier if we have one of those teams?" UCF has wins over Kansas, BYU, and Texas Tech. That's not an easy team, either. When you're a 7 seed, you don't get a free win 1st round. That's just not reality. People are complaining about the draw as if they expected to get Sienna round 1.

2 Seeds: Purdue, UCONN, Iowa State, Houston. There isn't an easy option or a "we'd be favored" option.

Houston is a tier above the other 3. We have ZERO chance vs theam.
UCONN has been faltering. BUT, their big man is 6'11 265 lbs. We're going to get destroyed inside that game.

Purdue is probably the least impressive group of athletes. They would have been my preferred choice.

Iowa State: They're 6-5 in their last 11 games. Are they a bad team? No. They're a 2 seed. Are they going to be easy to beat? No, they're a 2 seed. Is Iowa State in St. Louis about as good as you can hope for? Yes.

Someone said Iowa State travels great. Cool. So do we. Aimes is 5 hours from St. Louis. Lexington is 5 hours from St. Louis. We're lucky we're not playing Houston in Houston or UCONN in Philly.

People don’t realize we’ve had easy draws at least since 2018. With brackets opening up and whatever. But we never have been able to take the opportunity with these easy brackets.

I don't think anyone thinks it's a terrible draw. I think most have resigned themselves to the fact the team is trash and it really doesn't matter how good or bad the draw is.

Unfortunately, I dont share your optimism. St Clara is a legit team, long and can shoot the 3. They beat St Mary and the game against Gonzaga , I watched and was closer than final score might indicate it.

If and it is a big if , we beat St Clara, we don’t pass by Iowa St. Sorry, I just don’t think we have the Coach or the team discipline to advance the first weekend.

I was watching that St Mary's game and thought I would snipe myself a live bet on St Mary's w/ +500-ish odds. EZ money right? Wrong - Santa Clara held on and I was the idiot. They gained my respect after that game.

Still think we beat them in a close game. That's it for us this year though, IMO.

I have nothing more than a weird feeling that this team is going to play well.
