His Neutral Defense and position awareness in Neutral is, and always has been, really bad. How do you give up a Body Lock (i.e., Bear Hug) takedown to an unranked wrestler??? How do you lack the Neutral positional awareness to give up a move like that to an unranked wrestler? How many times did Mendez take him directly feet-to-back in Neutral???
that unranked wrestler pinned #9 last wkd

16 seconds left in the 2nd period, and Duke lets his opponent go.

There are times when you need to keep an opponent down to win a match, but so far, PJ has shown little interest in riding.

I know Duke is a Fr and I'm nitpicking a bit, but our stars have always been strong in all positions.

I did a kettle bell and squat workout last night couldn't sit down to **** this morning. Horrible stuff
I’m 57 and go to the gym every day. I swear I get injuries like this all the time. I’m doing PT for 2 things right now. You would think that being active is a good way to stay healthy, but I am coming to the conclusion that it’s not that simple. Getting old sucks.

We have multiple Hodge candidates as usual, but it’s going to be hard for guys to steal votes from that teammate.

At this time is he considered a lock? Maybe a few wins a big tens?
He is already eligible for an At-Large due to his Top 30 Coaches' Rank (currently 13th) + his win over any wrestler who has earned an AQ (Indiana's Porter will).

If he goes 0-2, 1-2, or gets dumped into the 9th Place mini-tourney, then it depends on who else ends up in the At Large pool -- but it's unlikely that 4+ better guys would. (0-2 without the mini-tourney would be worst case, since he would not get an RPI.)

If he goes 2-2 at B10s, he's in.

IMO the bigger risk is him getting a worse NCAA seed than expected and drawing Mendez, Vega, Stanich, or Echemendia in Round 2 instead of the quarters.

I did a bag of Middleswarth Kettle BBQ last night. I had no problems ****ting.
I have tried eating half a bag......but it never seems to work. :). True story: when my son was in the Navy and the Eisenhower got sent to the Mediterranean...... I shipped my son a few bags of Kettle BBQ. He shared them with mates who had never seen or tasted them. For the rest of their record-breaking time on water without a port stop......I was the Middlesworth "drug mule". Thay were extremely popular :)

Getting old is better than the alternative.......and you only want to do it once.

SVN must get sharper especially in the 1st period. Must start showing he’s the #1 ranked wrestler before the big ten tournament. JMO.
This is who he is. Nolf was very similar in case you forgot. You get a window in the first period of maybe 20-30 seconds and then the window is closed for the rest of the match. Could it cost him? Absolutely: against MAYBE 2 guys, probably just one in Joy. But if it's even in the second, it's over no matter who it is.

Any points we get from Davis should be considered gravy
