Yeah. Mendoza is 6'5" with elite arm talent, great decisions, and excellent scrambling ability. Why he was ranked where he was out of HS is a mystery, but obviously that was a recruiting miss. It's also possible that he developed later in life than your typical prospect but he was very good at Cal as well.
I'm not going to argue that Hecklinski can't be a high level QB, because nobody knows that anymore than anybody knowing that he will. He hasn't shown what he can or can't do.
Drew Tate is not a great comp, at least in terms of reputation coming in. He was an Army All American that was headed to Texas A&M before a coaching change sent him to Iowa.
