With Chris Ash as the DC?ND legitimately could have made it to the final.
my bad.The ncaa did not fine ksu and isu, the big 12 did…big difference
Maybe 2 tough games. Softer schedule than this years.
I’m in favor of letting the best 12 teams in.So, are you in favor of not letting G5 teams
In ever?
Well the NCAA should fine Notre Dame kike they did Kansas and Iowa State.
Also every 5-7 program that days it won't go bowling deserves punishment.
Naotre Dame might be a sore loser and not deserve what they're mad about not getting, but
what makes me mad is a 3 loss program that didn't win its conference championship being picked over a 5 loss ACC Champ that didn't deserve a spot but was more deserving ( in my opinion) then a 3 loss Bama squad .
Also feel Miami deserved its spot more than Notre Dame , but the imitation Irish deserved in the playoffs more than the 3 loss low Tide did..
Since loses don't matter for some and are the reason other are left out, let the playoffs be changed to 9 conferences have auto bids for their conference champions ( no matter what their W-L record) and add 7 at large bids .
edit, it was pointed out to me that the NCAA didn't fine Kansas and Iowa State, it was their Conference that fined them.
Here's what Iowa State said to Kansas after they received notice they would be fined
Remove RU, put in ND. Great idea for all BIG sports.I agree - join a conference. bIG invite has been there for years.
wonder how much of this is them a) throwing a fit, or b) admitting that bowl season is bs and kids and coaches need a break especially with the early signing day and time lost to evaluate portal talent with bowl prep.
Would make sense for all sports in the BIG, RU out and ND in! RU has shown year after year not to be able to compete in the BIG.I agree - join a conference. bIG invite has been there for years.

So should they play in the Sun Belt or AAC because conf champions form those conference made the playoffDon't play the garbage ACC schedule.
Don't think the are crying, they are negotiating a new TV contract ptobsbly be worth about 60 -75 mil a year, Their prigram valuation is 1.85 nil. They are letting the NCAA know that ND doesn't need them , they need ND. Think about this there is what 32 teams in the NFL. I can see a future where the top 30-35 football set up a league like the NFL, play their games on Saturday, maybe a Sunday night and Wednesday night game. They would break off from the NCAA some might think I am crazy. But let me ask you this, if in 1995 someone would have said in 30 years college players will be making millions to play college football you would have said they were crazy. They should have been in the B1G decades ago. They didn’t join because of $$$/tv contract issues- what a surprise. They can cry a river. I don’t hate ND but they always think that things should be slanted their way- it didn’t work out that way.
Well there is certainly whining. ND apparently needed the ACC conf regarding their entire sports portfolio. Not sure that their football program on its own will be able to fund the many other sports. That aside, I don’t disagree with your idea about the possible future of the sport, with 30 or so schools setting up a separate league. What connection that would eventually have with universities/ education is anyone’s guess. At that point, just set up a a professional club league with teams representing different areas of the country.Don't think the are crying, they are negotiating a new TV contract ptobsbly be worth about 60 -75 mil a year, Their prigram valuation is 1.85 nil. Rankings aren’t actually suppose to mean anything until the last one because the information is incomplete until all the games are played. Not sure we’ll see the weekly shows go away but there’s more clamoring for it. ESPN did pay for it.
It's been discussed to death, but the notion of having two G5 teams in the CFP while Notre Dame (and arguable Texas) are out of the CFP seems off in some way.Yea it’s the ACC’s fault! It’s one thing to turn down a meaningless bowl at 5-7, 6-6 when the team was eliminated for a week or 2. It’s another thing to turn down a top tier bowl. Just goes to show how bad the powers that be f’d up with the playoff/NIL/bowl selection process.
Neither ND, or Texas deserve to be in any National Championship discussions. The problem is there are too many teams now included in the “playoffs”. They screwed it up royally last year with the seeded teams. And this was the solution. Having Miami in over ND is the real argument. If ND was in a conference they would be in. This was meant to force their hand. It's been discussed to death, but the notion of having two G5 teams in the CFP while Notre Dame (and arguable Texas) are out of the CFP seems off in some way.

rutgersguy brought this up in one of his posts , mine just showing an article about the imitation Irish's AD not being happy with the ACC over their treatment of ND.
"We didn't appreciate the fact that we were singled out repeatedly and compared to Miami, not by Miami, Miami has every right to do that. But it raised a lot of eyebrows here that the conference was taking shots at us."

ACC responds after Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua says conference did 'permanent damage' by promoting Miami for CFP
Notre Dame football remains independent, but other sports at the school play in the ACC.sports.yahoo.com
The Big East is smacking its lips hoping Notre Dame decides to look for a way out of their agreement with the ACC
They always get what they want lol.Correct, it's true.
ND always wants to play with a different set of rules then everyone else F N DThey always get what they want lol.
if the Big Ten expects all its members to represent them in post season play and is willing to cover the cost along with eat the tickets , school is liable for, not sold a fine is fine in my book.So we should be fined and punished?
The Birmingham Bowl has no affiliation with the B1G, they are scrambling to find any team willing to play there. Totally different from Iowa State and Kansas State, since both turned down bowls affiliated with the Big 12So we should be fined and punished?
