I say keep an eye on Campbell to Michigan State.
He gone.

I can attest that they don’t know sh#t. It is why BRIGHT folks don’t pay attention to much of what the media puts out.Riiiight. They're wrong and you know the real inside information.
I’d be surprised if Campbell went to MSU. I don’t know why he’d sign up for being second fiddle in-state again. He gone.

These coaches have huge egos, period, and if they can rebuild a team like MSU to 8-4 or 9-3 then they will crow and get that 7 year extension.I’d be surprised if Campbell went to MSU. I don’t know why he’d sign up for being second fiddle in-state again.

My gawd, MSU extended Mel Tucker after one season which was only good because tucker got that great running back transfer, Kenneth something or other was his name

One again folks like you demonstrate low IQ, as the ISU AD did not take a $50M loan from the Univ to stay afloat. You obviously didn’t attend an institution of higher education either.Hilarious. Cyclones shouldn't talk about "can't afford" matters. At least you said it now though, before your athletics program is gasping for financial air. You've got that to look forward to. Enjoy!!
You keep bringing up the same 50 million dollar argument. I can’t wait to see you clowns suffer financially. One again folks like you demonstrate low IQ, as the ISU AD did not take a $50M loan from the Univ to stay afloat. You obviously didn’t attend an institution of higher education either.
I chuckle at folks like you because for some reason you have an illusion that you are associated with revenue distributions and Hawkeye athletics. You are a fan that spent $25 at Walmart on your Hawkeye apparel and somehow that validates your fandom. Leave the financial management of university athletics to the adults. You keep bringing up the same 50 million dollar argument. I can’t wait to see you clowns suffer financially.
I chuckle at Clown fans who keep bringing up that loan like it’s some kind of knock on Iowa Athletics. Taking a 15-year loan at 2.5% interest to cover pandemic-related losses is a savvy financial decision, something the ISU athletic department clearly has no clue about. Instead, they drained their reserves and are now begging fans to donate $500k, plus a $30k yearly maintenance fee, just to rent a crappy condo in Clown Town.I chuckle at folks like you because for some reason you have an illusion that you are associated with revenue distributions and Hawkeye athletics. Only one athletic director is constantly running to the media and crying about how much financial trouble their department is in going forward. Take a wild guess which one that is. Enjoy poverty lol.
You fail to grasp once again. The mere fact that a loan was needed tells you about AD management. I’ve seen no news where Iowa has even started to repay that loan. In contrast, ISU has a surplus which again tells you all you need to know. Bottom line is ISU does significantly more with less revenue.I chuckle at Clown fans who keep bringing up that loan like it’s some kind of knock on Iowa Athletics. With all these “financial challenges” that ISU is experiencing, it is a wonder we can compete at all. It has obviously manifested itself in head to head competition against the hawks. Get your popcorn ready as you will get to see the hawks take on a legitimate national title contender in mbb on Dec 11. The ignorance among the hawks fan base is truly amazing. He is gonna have to sell that bridge to China and lease it back.
I was very impressed with Iowa State in Vegas. I'll wait until after Saturdays game @ purdue to declare them a legit National Title contender. With all these “financial challenges” that ISU is experiencing, it is a wonder we can compete at all. Yep. ISU will be in the red shortly. Pollard has already stated this. Why are you overlooking the fact that Iowa has 15 years to repay that loan and is essentially borrowing at a next to nothing rate? There’s no reason for them to pay it off quickly. Once again, you (and every other jealous Clown fan) fail to grasp an understanding of strategic financing.
And where on earth did you hear that ISU has a surplus? It’s actually the opposite. Reports say Clown U is staring down a $147 million budget deficit through 2031 which comes out to about $24 million per year. The reasons aren’t exactly a mystery either - Big 12 realignment, the House v. NCAA settlement and revenue sharing, and a drop in media rights money. Because of all that, they’ve had to push back stuff like the Hilton renovation and the new wrestling facility, and they’re cutting costs everywhere, even raising student fees. So as you said, this tells you all you need to know lol.
But sure, keep living in LaLa land.

Once again, you are being incredibly short sighted. Yes, ISU has pulled out a few close football wins over Iowa in September recently, but only one of those teams finished the regular season ranked and it is not ISU.With all these “financial challenges” that ISU is experiencing, it is a wonder we can compete at all. The current direction of college athletics has Iowa moving towards the bottom of the B10 if financial resources are the measure of success. Ohio State and others are determined to set market economics on revenue distributions. Small market teams are going to the bottom of the conference, so Iowa fans better hope that success isn’t dependent totally on resources. Iowa is the smallest market team in the B10, so you better be careful what you wish for.Once again, you are being incredibly short sighted. In women’s basketball, ISU has won once in the last ten matchups.
In wrestling, they have won once in the last twenty one meetings, and will finish the year behind Iowa at NCAA’s.
I will give you men’s basketball. ISU has the stronger program at the moment. But even then, the last ten games are split 5 to 5. And every November you dorks insist your team is a legitimate national title contender. We will see how the season actually plays out.
It is funny how every time ISU strings together a couple of head to head wins, you act like the balance of power is shifting. But, as always, things settle back to reality. Iowa has historically dominated ISU in every major sport, and that is not going to change, especially with the current direction of college athletics.
They have. V Miller of the Gazette has had several articles covering amounts paid back each year. Not hard to find. You fail to grasp once again. You still haven’t figured out what market economics mean. Do you think Ohio State & Penn States give a sh#t if Iowa is a top 25 revenue program? Market size and viewership drives revenue distributions with carriers and the “big schools” are demanding more from the conference. The market for Iowa isn’t changing. As always, you’re not dealing in reality here. Iowa’s athletic department is a top-25 revenue program nationally (#21) and ranks 7th among the 18 current Big Ten schools.
I understand why this would frustrate you as an ISU fan, but the numbers speak for themselves. I’m presenting verifiable facts, and your responses are the usual made up clown-fan ********.
There’s no point continuing this discussion if we can’t stick to facts, so I’ll leave it here. Again, enjoy poverty and sinking back to your rightful place at the depths of college athletics.
Good grief lol. Can you link the source claiming that Ohio State and Penn State are demanding more from the conference? You still haven’t figured out what market economics mean. Once again, you’re trying to counter facts with pure CyClown hopium. The Big Ten isn’t the Big 12, and the sooner you accept that, the easier it’ll be to swallow the reality that Iowa is in a far stronger position than your poverty-tier athletic department
Yup, plain and simple. And now they might be losing their football coach lol. He's jealous and bitter. I get it. I would be too if I was a Clowns fan with that future.
