Back in the day recruiting was about relationships(and secret money).. now it’s about relationships and open money.

So I guess technically Iowa could overwhelm someone with money.. but that wouldn’t be financially responsible. We likely won’t have the relationship to land someone we haven’t offered.

I think Iowa has to feel confident about landing one. But I don’t think it’s smart to scramble with someone you’re not sold on with the portal available.

A crazy thing.. a competitor for Bjorn, Texas, has only 8 scholarships filled for 2026-27 season.
It is weird but Texas has seemingly fallen outside the primary threats. The primary pull is Crump - one of her better friends. There has been so little said about that since late spring early summer. I really don't think they end up being an option. Kansas and Iowa appear to be the primary 2 schools still vying for her. I like those odds.

Lets just look at it logically -

UConn appears to be full - Robinson and Vukosa
Duke has 2 SF commits in Green and Flemings - she visited Duke on Oct 2nd (they accepted Flemings commit on 10/13).
Texas there has been minimal information since early in the year

1 month ago prior the visits the rumors were the top 3 were Duke, Iowa and Kansas

Kansas is close to home. Beyond that what do they really have. They don't have a strong team - unranked. No other top 100 recruits.

Iowa - Dad told Wolizcko's dad Iowa's Culture is the best in the country. Wolizcko committed. We have Deal and other commits. Possibility of 3 top 30 recruits. Iowa also appears to have NIL money available. I was always worried about the coach transition and how Iowa would handle it. For recruiting purposes and retaining players Iowa has handled it seamlessly. The dad's and Addison have been liking Iowa stuff recently. Yes she is hard to read. When you put everything together yes I like the odds and the picture.

Iowa is close but far enough away for her to get away.

A little more than just a year removed from back-to-back trips to the finals. You get that taste, and as result, seeing some of the teams now ranked ahead this year, it gets a little hard to accept. You want it again. Easy to see what will put Iowa back in that high-end conversation. If they could somehow draw that inside straight the Hawkeyes could get back in there soon, keep that CC22 train rolling. So close to that goal. If only...

I don't know if this profile is stealing information from Skim Discord again, but I think he's trying to say this:

Jerzy to SC
Sara Okeke or Bri Crittendon to Tennessee
Addison Bjorn to Kansas
Olivia Jones or Jhai Johnson to Vandy
Kaeli Wynn to SC

If Skim is the original source, it's reliable; if 99Feet is the source, it's not reliable.

How the hell do you get anything out of that. No projections - I wouldn't be utilizing that for anything.

There’s only so many top recruits left.. if you know who people have as finalists it’s pretty easy to piece together.

We were happy Woliczko and Lewis had Iowa as their last visit.. Bjorn has Kansas last.. it’d suck not to get her.. but better than going to UConn or something.

1. Who is creating this puzzle
2. What is the information based

Without that information I wouldn’t be giving any credence to that.

Basically the same as Skim Milkey.. we don’t know who runs that page.. but they’ve been right when they post stuff. From what I’ve seen.

Definitely your right to choose to not believe it. I’m hoping they are wrong!

I understand parents can differ from kids, but Bjorns dad has been posting a ton of Iowa content and wearing Iowa clothes. Would seem odd if she were to commit to Kansas. The tea leaves just aren’t adding up.

Home state school, and maybe she sees Deal, Rodriguez, and Teagan and sees a path for more playing time elsewhere? That being said I really hope we get Addison AND Jenica they are both awesome

I think you're confusing McKenna's dad with Bjorn's dad. I don't think Bjorn's dad even has a social media profile to post anything. McKenna and Bjorn look alike, but not that much, heheheheh.

Sorry, been reading the Bjorn thread and it’s been Wolizcko’s dad.
All good.. still the Woliczko’s posting stuff about Bjorn often means Iowa has to be in the mix.. don’t think they’d be doing that blindly.

At the same time if they knew she was going to Iowa and were doing it, it’d be odd that they were possibly spoiling her commitment. So I’m thinking Iowa is in the mix with no guarantee.

Again, allow me to point out that Bjorn is from Missouri, not Kansas. People living in Kansas City MO may think they are close to Kansas, but not the Kansas folks. The hatred between the two states is real:

Awfully quiet, you can hear a pin drop. Lewis is in the pro-con evaluation mode. Bjorn has one more visit, I believe. Going down to the wire.
Bjorn managed to keep her recruitment so quiet that it caused predictions and rumors conflitct. Uconn, Texas, ND, UNC, Kansas, and Iowa were predict to be leaders at some point, but I don't think anyone really knows. It seems Skim gave an update about Jenica, but it hasn't left Discord yet. I don't know if it's a decision or a trend, but we'll know in couple days. I think Bjorn will be one of the last to decide.

Thanks for that. It is crazy, but a lot of people see "Kansas City" and think of Kansas. While there is a smaller "Kansas City" on the Kansas side, Nationally, "Kansas City" proper (if you will), is the second largest city in Missouri. While its true that Lawrence Kansas is probably just a 35 -40 minute drive from Park Hill where she lives. Its possible that Bjorn will want to go the CC22 route and establish her own path and a non traditional school, Clark believed in Bluder and what she was doing at Iowa, and we had been a sweet 16/elite 8 team already, and just had the NPOTY at Iowa. Not sure Kansas is nearly at that level of cred in the womens game. If playing for championships is her goal, then Iowa would seem to be a much better fit.

To be fair, Kansas has had a lot of recent success in its recruiting. They have S'Mya Nichols who is playing lile a a first-round pick in the WNBA draft. Kansas got two 5-star recruits in the 2025 class, one of whom had 29 points and 12 rebounds in her debut. If Kansas gets Bjorn, it would be a team with four 5-stars. How many teams in the country have four 5-stars? Seven or eight teams at most. But obviously I hope Bjorn choice Iowa. And I think Iowa will continue to recruit stronger and stronger, while I don't know if Kansas will be able to maintain this success for very long.
