Kyle:

For the remaining targets in the 2026 class, do you have the OV dates & school for each of the targets?

Bjorn -- already provided
Lewis -- already provided I think
Murray --
Byles --
Jones --
Anyone else to consider?

Also, I have seen 4 to sign of which 1 is McKenna. For the remaining targets, would you look at this way:

Bjorn vs Byles -- from what I can gather, Bjorn is the preference
Lewis vs Murray vs Jones -- which 2 would be preferred?
Bjorn is obviously the preference from the coaches. Lewis and Murray seem interchangeable. Lewis may have a higher ceiling but with medical concerns (can she handle full college load with diabetes) - while Murray has the higher floor. Maybe a tossup.

Thanks for your feedback.

So if Lewis would decide Notre Dame, would the staff take Murray & Jones? It seems like Jones would be a great addition

I would put Lewis as the top remaining target, on par/nearly on par with McKenna. Elite home state combo guard with great ball handling and passing skills who can score inside and out. Jones to Iowa would be a surprise to me, more of a longshot but just a guess.

🧐🤔 If you wish to engage with Kyle directly one-on-one, you should probably purchase a subscription to On3. This is his occupation. Just saying. 😎

UConn already has 12 scholarships filled for 2026/2027 and is still recruiting Olivia Vukosa, Sara Okeke, Jerzy Robinson, Kamora Pruitt, and Addison Bjorn. I doubt Geno will receive commitments from more than two recruits and be left without any scholarships for the Portal. Just saying: Caitlin wanted to go to UConn (despite not receiving an offer), then wanted to go to ND, but ended up going to Iowa, and the rest is history. I'm not saying it will happen to Bjorn, but it's still too early to predict the ending.
Actually, CC NEVER said she wanted to play at UConn. She said it would have been cool to get an offer. It was a status thing. She also said there was pressure because of her catholic background to choose Notre Dame. She didn't go that route either, after thinking it over. One of the biggest drivers for her was to "do something new" like leading a team that was not a power to the final 4 and beyond. To set her own path. She certainly would never have achieved those goals or had the career she did at UConn.

Calm down, man. It's just small talk. Try to keep it light and fun. It's not that deep.

I think Iowa takes 2 more at most and would be fine with 1 more.

They need to get a little more balanced on their scholarships.

Lololo.. Its funny that its always the posters who say "chill, its no big deal" who are the quickest to get offended. Lolol.. It happens so often. I was just pointing out I highly doubt Clark was ever going to Uconn, (as you posted she wanted to go there). She would never have reached her goals, or had the career she did there. She and PB together would not have allowed the type of freedom she needed, and I guarantee you that Gino would not have handled her the way that Lisa and Jan did.

ESPN ran a report on top uncommitted recruits releasing finalists for some of them, and apparently Iowa isn't Trinity Jones' top six.

No. 11 Trinity Jones: Oklahoma, TCU, Clemson, LSU, Tennessee, North Carolina.

I understand that may not be your intention, but I mentioned one thing and you're talking about another. It was supposed to be a quick joke, but then you turns a what if… topic, as if I were defending the idea that CC SHOULD HAVE GONE to UConn. And it's hard to think of anything I would hate more that had happened. It's a somewhat uncomfortable position. I prefer a more light and fun conversation, if you don't mind.

I will forever hate West Des Moines Dowling for pressuring her to choose Notre Dame. Fugg that place and those dipsschidts.

What follows was re-tweeted by McKenna's dad, Aaron Woliczko.

Will Jan land Jenica Lewis?

Full text of the tweet:

CONCEPTUALLY THINKING BASKETBALL: The The Jenica Lewis @JenicaRaine10 @JCSD_Girlsbball Imperative (Part 1)

Iowa @IowaWBB has already secured McKenna Woliczko
@McKennaDub —the No. 2 overall prospect in 2026, the offensive fulcrum with Olympic-level projection. Now the most critical piece of business sits in front of them: Jenica Lewis.

This isn’t about adding talent. It’s about solving a mathematical problem that’s been staring at their analytics dashboard since Caitlin Clark’s departure.

The numbers tell a story most programs ignore: Iowa’s 2024-25 composite efficiency sits at 107.6 (league average = 100). Strong. Not elite. The diagnosis? A shot profile imbalance (71.3 Rim/3 Rate, 29 points below modern benchmarks) and turnover inefficiency (81.2 TOV%, 19 points below standard).

Enter Lewis. 56-0 across her final two high school seasons. Not just wins—systematic execution. Her 38-40% three-point projection isn’t volume shooting. It’s architectural. It’s the kind of gravity that bends defensive geometry, creating driving lanes for @deal_addie @Journey_Renae and @ChazadiW while collapsing help away from McKenna Woliczko’s rim attacks.

But here’s what separates elite recruitment from talent collection in this age of complexity: Iowa isn’t chasing the highest-ranked guard. They must identify the exact skill set their data demands. Lewis brings rare versatility—the ability to toggle between elite primary ball handling and pick-and-roll execution, then shift seamlessly into spacer and secondary creator roles. At 5’10” with positional flexibility to play 1-3, she doesn’t just fill a position. She provides tactical adaptability that modern systems require.

This matters because the complexity of elite WBB demands players who can operate in multiple offensive contexts within the same possession. Lewis can bring the ball up as primary initiator, run side pick-and-roll as secondary creator when defenses trap Deal @deal_addie or Chit Chat @ChazadiW, or spot up as a spacer creating gravity for Woliczko’s fulcrum actions. That toggle ability—moving fluidly between roles based on defensive coverage—is what separates good spacing from elite offensive architecture.

The Woliczko signing established Iowa’s offensive fulcrum—but not just as a post. McKenna operates inside and out, a forward whose versatility creates offensive architecture from multiple levels. When optimized correctly, she functions as a high-post decision-maker—reading defenses, making reads, and creating advantages through vision and positioning.

But here’s where the math becomes critical: without Lewis? Even Woliczko’s multidimensional game as an offensive fulcrum faces limitations imposed by defensive geometry. With Lewis spacing the floor as one of the country’s most polished gravity wells? You’re unlocking Woliczko’s complete package through floor spacing that the data shows is non-negotiable for elite offensive efficiency.

This is why Lewis must be the top priority. Not because she’s the missing piece—because she’s the activation mechanism that transforms Woliczko from talented forward into offensive fulcrum.

This is system architecture at its finest. Jan Jensen isn’t rebuilding post-Clark—she’s reengineering. Securing Lewis would solve Iowa’s shot profile problem immediately: her elite gravity well presence—40% three-point volume with range and movement shooting—forces defenses into impossible choices.

Dad is an a**, take it out on the kids. Solid effort on your part. Hopefully the sarcasm is clear enough.
In reality, it wouldn't be that difficult for the daughters to make it very clear to Brian that his words and actions are very embarrassing and to "knock it off".

I've seen it, personally, after one of my daughter's high school teammate's dad was kicked out of the gym years ago.
The dad cleaned up his act.

On a related note, DePaul hosts Marquette on Dec. 4 at 8pm, the game will be broadcast on Peacock. We'll see three former Hawkeyes on the bench, and #22 vs #22. Cara Consuegra is the head coach of Marquette, and Sam Logic is her assistant coach, while Kathleen Doyle is an assistant coach at DePaul. The return game is Jan. 28 at 6:30pm, ESPN+.

So the assumption is they said 'keep going Dad' highly unlikely and some Dad's may not listen.....but keep good that you saw the one guy that one time clean up his act.
