Vienna Murray moves into ESPN top 100 at # 91, but the ESPN update may be in progress. The rankings have been jumping around the last hour. Bjorn also slightly up to # 10, Lewis slightly down to # 24, and Byles down from #22 to # 37.

Also interesting to see Averie Lower move up to 54.

I'm guessing Lower's ranking changed due to her play at Nike and the ASU commitment.

Maybe he does, but I don't think he really breaks any information that wasn't first reported by Skim
He’s a podcaster so it is only natural that he wants to increase his clicks. He has interviewed McKenna Woliczko at least twice on his podcast. His post was cryptic so it is not as if he was “breaking” any news. It seems logical and plausible to me that his post was not about a second commitment but instead the news of the announcement that season ticket sales had been sold out.

I mean, his post was like 10 minutes after Lasondra Barrett posted almost the same thing

Do we have any targets in 2028? I saw that there are a lot of Midwest talent or players that are on All Iowa Attack and was just wondering if we are going after them or other players

Iowa was late to offer, but they had been watching her and had a relationship with her for longer than that. She had been to a couple of camps as well.
Wonder why she visited midweek. I like her game, so do a lot of other schools. She hasn't visited Oklahoma, they could be hard to beat. Murray's game would compliment our current roster. Hoping she becomes a Hawk.

Jacy Abii (wing - #9) committed to ND alongside Bella Ragone (wing - #30). I don't know if it affects Jenica's decision, but it would be strange Bjorn to be the third wing to commit to ND.

Two top 30 players that play the same position as Bjorn will definitely affect her desicion. I agree that it won’t impact Jenicas much though but who knows🤷

Another player that may be affected is Amari Byles. She had Notre Dame in her top 6. She is kind of flying under the radar in regard to her recruitment by Iowa but she would be a heck of an addition.

After reading A. Woliczko's posts and seeing how out front McKenna is trying to recruit for Iowa, I have a lot of respect for this family. They are basketball savvy and they are working hard to help Iowa build momentum for the coming years. I don't know if will help secure Bjorn or Lewis but other parents and athletes will see these posts. To be honest, I would take Trinity Jones in a heartbeat. She is solid and tough. Amari Byles, although not as polished, would be welcome as well. Do you think they might revisit Averie Lower and see if she might switch? Also, do we know why Kaeli Wynn, Addie's former teammate from Mater Dei has never been mentioned. I watch her films and she is tough as well. Do we think Vienna Murray will commit to Iowa?

Can't hurt chances. Same thing could happen with UConn --> recruiting Vukosa and Robinson.
UConn already has 12 scholarships filled for 2026/2027 and is still recruiting Olivia Vukosa, Sara Okeke, Jerzy Robinson, Kamora Pruitt, and Addison Bjorn. I doubt Geno will receive commitments from more than two recruits and be left without any scholarships for the Portal. Just saying: Caitlin wanted to go to UConn (despite not receiving an offer), then wanted to go to ND, but ended up going to Iowa, and the rest is history. I'm not saying it will happen to Bjorn, but it's still too early to predict the ending.

Averie took a signing bonus from ASU so I would be shocked if she switched. Iowa had their shot and she loves the ASU coaches and team. I did see she’s up to #54 on ESPNs list.

OK, so you are saying Bjorn will end up with no scholarship from UConn, and Lewis will change her mind at the last minute and switch from Notre Dame to Iowa ;)

I didn't say anything that. I don't know how you read what I wrote about Jenica—"I don't know if this affects Jenica's decision"—and came to that conclusion, but that's your conclusion, not mine. In my opinion, it's nothing is conclusive about recruitment until the decision is announced. I'm just talking about scenarios and possibilities. Nothing here is conclusive.

Without direct knowledge of the situation, I would put Lower's situation to a comparison of last year's Libby Fandel from CR Xavier that went to Kansas.

Good player, but maybe Iowa was aiming higher?

How does one take a signing bonus before they can actually sign?

The Wild Wild West. Maybe she doesn’t get the money until signing day, but agreed to the extra dough to commit. ASU has more likely PT at this point than Iowa will. If Iowa struggles at 3 point shooting in the next 3-4 years, that’s where they would wish they had Lower. That’s IF because Jan is really getting a loaded roster.

Kyle:

For the remaining targets in the 2026 class, do you have the OV dates & school for each of the targets?

Bjorn -- already provided
Lewis -- already provided I think
Murray --
Byles --
Jones --
Anyone else to consider?

Also, I have seen 4 to sign of which 1 is McKenna. For the remaining targets, would you look at this way:

Bjorn vs Byles -- from what I can gather, Bjorn is the preference
Lewis vs Murray vs Jones -- which 2 would be preferred?
