We do have Libby Hills in MA so you would feel right at homeI heard that somewhere recently. Used to go to Libby Hill’s in Greensboro when children were young for fish. Then when Captain Tom’s changed flounder to more like theirs just five minutes up the road and we were good. One of Captain Tom’s signs used to actually be on corner of what is now my property.

Drove by it tonight on the way home from a soccer game at Bishop McGuinness. You are correct, there is still a Captain Tom's in Kernersville.

Make sure u get there like 4 hours early so you can sit in one of the 100 seats available to visitors fans. Before you say it BK yes I like Latte's and my team sucks and Chris Hughes picked your stadium as best 1a stadium of all time. But y'all definitely need some more seats in that stadium. I like the no track around the field though I wish more stadiums didn't have tracks. I. just wish it was more of a bowl shape with more hills to sit on instead of having to get there incredibly early or risk the chance of standing 5 rows deep around the fence.
Yeah the refs took 4 points off the board. We 'lost" by 1. Go to the coaches they might still have the film. Asheville wlos showed one of the two plays and mentioned it a little.
That was 14 years ago. I've never seen anything like it before or after. Not even close. That's another reason why I want home field. I'd never go back to MA.
BK the officials that night came from Charlotte so there was no home cooking as you keep crying. Go look at the Mitchell film and you can see that we don’t get calls at home. That was a good game 14 years ago with a tremendous catch at the end. You don’t want to come to Mount Airy because it is a very tough place to play with the home crowd and even tougher now with all that has been added since then. The difference in our teams is we don’t care if we have to go on road or at home we think we can take care of business either place just like we did at Eastern Randolph last year. Hope to see you all in playoffs for sure.
Eastern Randolph? First of all, thank you for putting ern on name. Well done. Secondly yes your teenagers were victorious in Ramseur last year. In that sense, they did “take care of business”. However it was what an hour drive? Maybe hour fifteen at the most? That trek up those hills probably will be a little more taxing. Conversely Robbinsville coming to Mt Airy may have an effect on their team’s ability to perform. Good luck to both high schools rest of season. Hopefully athletes stay healthy. Not like what happened to ER in fourth quarter of last year’s playoff game against the Granite Bears…

You guys really amaze me, you think the only reason the bears bear Eastern Randolph last year is because they got hurt in the fourth quarter. You think that might have something to do with the bears defense wearing them out by the fourth quarter. The big quarterback was so tired from running for his life all night he could barely move and their big defensive line was so tired they could stop us. And talking about injuries well against Tarboro we lost our best defensive guy first series and put a freshman in and still won. The scary thing this year is now we have our best defensive guy back and the freshman who came in opposite him. Bad news for opposing teams. If you are lucky you will find out for yourself.
Im sure Mt Airy would be able to round up the refs from 14 years ago to ref this game lol

Well maybe you are correct. It was all Mt Airy’s doing and they “wore out” ER. Score entering fourth was 17-13 home team if I’m not mistaken? Devonte was injured two plays before start of last quarter. He played RB and defensive end. ER’s big QB was fine after game when he talked to me coming off field. Just mad they had lost last football game he would play in HS.
Mt Airy teenagers did win that night and also won SC. Happy for them. Just don’t change history to make it fit your narrative.
I am absolutely sure ER was the best team MA played last year and very thankful we won. ER was full of studs and I have no doubt would have brought the trophy home if you had won that night.
Now come on kid. Mount Airy missing 123 starting offensive lineman. We also wanted them was a anchor on the defensive line. You saved Brooks for that game. He did great in the first half and then got his *** rocked in the second half. That's how it happens man. I'll take three linemen to your one Brooks even though he is a tremendous player. So they did come to Eastern Randolph. And after a little sluggish start. Physically dominated you in the second half of what I think was the best high school football game I saw last year. Throw it in a few adjectives to let you know that you're healthy comment is crap.
BK will probably try to round up the officiating crew from Mitchell in the 2021 game against the bears if the 2023 bears play in Robbinsville. It won't matter this time. Mount Arrogant said so!!!!
Devonte hurt the same knee that had kept him out of playoffs the last couple of postseason games. He didn’t get rocked. Third quarter was scoreless I believe. Mt Airy didn’t score until he was out. No one got worn out.
It was a good game I agree. Only thing was outcome. Injuries are a part of the game and team that overcomes those are usually winners. I just take umbrage when some overzealous people remember things differently.

Overzealous?? We must have watched two different games. The way you talk you manhandled us. Worn down is the word not worn out. You can say you talked to QB all you want but he couldn’t get away from our defense the whole second half and was very tired 4th quarter. It hurt you all when rb got hurt and that was a shame. Maybe you will get a chance to try it again this year. But we are not overzealous. We are good twice as good as last year
ER was the toughest game other than championship game all year. Injuries are part of the game. Hard fought till the end. Expect ER to be a contender again this year. Maybe they get the rematch with the Knights and the Bears.
No sir, we watched same game. As I said the young man that got hurt did play RB. Where the team missed him the most was at DE. Not having him to set edge and/or make stops was the difference I felt. That led to Mt Airy finally taking lead in fourth quarter as well as ER struggling to move the ball, in my opinion.
I don’t know if the Bears are twice as good as last year and quite frankly neither do you. I wish them luck and health in all their games going forward though.
