In 1aIs MA the best spread team in the state I do agree with that Hayesville will face the best spread team they played all year IDK about the best team but that answer will be answer in a couple of weeks
Well I haven't seen anything about replacing it especially while more and more states are going to RPI and not sure what they would replace it with but if they do then people can gripe and complain about whatever system that is just as now and just like they were when the nchsaa went by MaxPreps before the RPI .Either way the RPI will be gone soon or tweaked. One or the other.
I know it’s necessary for seeding purposes. But I just don’t think it has anything to do with who actually wins the games in the playoffs.Well for seeding purposes you kinda have to have a ranking system do ether you do like the NCAA and do an opinion pole or you do some kinda mathematical formula which usually has to involve sos.
But that said Tarboro usually doesn't have a great sos but in the end of the season they usually show that it doesn't always matter that for sure lol.
Right I was agreeing with that in my last sentence about TarboroI know it’s necessary for seeding purposes. But I just don’t think it has anything to do with who actually wins the games in the playoffs.
Lord I complained about MaxPreps . If I only knew what I know now I wouldn't have.Well I haven't seen anything about replacing it especially while more and more states are going to RPI and not sure what they would replace it with but if they do then people can gripe and complain about whatever system that is just as now and just like they were when the nchsaa went by MaxPreps before the RPI .
Well other than Andrews #1 instead of ER I don't see much difference in the seeding if it has remained with MaxPreps plus that might not have happened remember it was adjusted MaxPreps.Lord I complained about MaxPreps . If I only knew what I know now I wouldn't have.
Really?I know it’s necessary for seeding purposes. But I just don’t think it has anything to do with who actually wins the games in the playoffs.
Alright man you may be right. Just have to see how it all plays out. I will say this, Murphy is so up and down this year that it’s hard to get a handle on how good they really are. Robbinsville was steamrolling along until they got some unfortunate and untimely injuries. Now Andrews (the SMC doormat for years, not a knock, just the truth) is king of the SMC and maybe the 1a west. It’s been a weird year for sure.I stick by it bro. Mt.Airy's A game will be the best that Hayesville has likely played against....I look at it this way..its tough comparing scores....but EW and Murphy were pretty much a stalemate..both teams have personnel that weren't a 100%. Mt.Airy could have put 80 on EW...well they almost did 62-7. Murphy destroyed Robbinsville...so for what it's worth..tough to use..but real numbers..Andrews beat Robinsville and Murphy..All 3 would likely beat EW..but not by 60...Styles do make fights however.
MA actually passed for 126 yards Friday night in first half alone.Starmount beating Andrews last year with similar teams is the reason I'm not totally sold on Andrews...Mt.Airy doesn't pass that much...
They dont need to throw the ball alot if you beating a team that bad unless you want to rub salt in the wound MA got that talent to do it all but besides east surry have they been tested by a good team or at least a great run teamMA actually passed for 126 yards Friday night in first half alone.
They had 526 total yards. QB looked rely good throwing it.
Starmount wasn’t very good this year IMO. I think Andrews beats them by 30+ easy as well as Robbinsville and Murphy. You can throw the EW score out the window as far as that goes as well.Starmount beating Andrews last year with similar teams is the reason I'm not totally sold on Andrews...Mt.Airy doesn't pass that much...
Andrews is a different animal this season compared to last season.Starmount beating Andrews last year with similar teams is the reason I'm not totally sold on Andrews...Mt.Airy doesn't pass that much...
Then maybe next year is MA’s year? Andrews is pretty much all seniors. I’ll take a mostly senior team over a mostly junior team If I had to bet.MA has gotten better ever week. Something I dont think they did last year. MA returns everybody next year.
That’s true. Y’all are my preseason SMC favorite next year. I’d put my money on a strong Robbinsville team over MA too, especially at the Big Oaks.Robbinsville is junior team also
smart butt.....only had 7 seniors only 6 last year. All MAs guys are always coming back......seniors gotta be 28 years old.
Only threw in first half. Started subs whole 2nd half. So no no one rubbed it in.They dont need to throw the ball alot if you beating a team that bad unless you want to rub salt in the wound MA got that talent to do it all but besides east surry have they been tested by a good team or at least a great run team
And Tarboro will be too much for anyone coming out of the west this year and next year, so all this is a moot point apart from who gets the honor of representing the west in the title gameMt.Airy will be too much for anyone coming out of the SMC this year.
ExactlyAnd Tarboro will be too much for anyone coming out of the west this year and next year, so all this is a moot point apart from who gets the honor of representing the west in the title game
Not true this year. Tarboro is still 2 years away from having a team that I think will even be capable of being “too much to handle”And Tarboro will be too much for anyone coming out of the west this year and next year, so all this is a moot point apart from who gets the honor of representing the west in the title game
You guys have said yourselves that this team is stronger than last year's and if that's the case then I don't see anybody in the west beating Tarboro. There's 1 or 2 teams in the west this year that might be able to give you a good game but I don't see any of them beating ya'll.Not true this year. Tarboro is still 2 years away from having a team that I think will even be capable of being “too much to handle”
Well it’s true they are better than they were last year but I think there’s a lot more good teams in the west this year than previous years.Ya'll have said yourselves that this team is stronger than last year's and if that's the case then I don't see anybody in the west beating Tarboro
Get sold on Andrews. They are a totally different animal from last year. QB took a pretty big step and it made them a lot betterStarmount beating Andrews last year with similar teams is the reason I'm not totally sold on Andrews...Mt.Airy doesn't pass that much...
I think the west was stronger last year personally. Andrews and Draughn are much improved but there's a lot of others who aren't as strong as last season.Well it’s true they are better than they were last year but I think there’s a lot more good teams in the west this year than previous years.
Could be. I haven’t seen any west teams other than a few clips online. I hope you’re right!I think the west was stronger last year personally.
I needed a good laugh today....thanks mhs95...I'm still laughing at that one...All MAs guys are always coming back......seniors gotta be 28 years old.
Andrews is a completely different team from last year.Starmount beating Andrews last year with similar teams is the reason I'm not totally sold on Andrews...Mt.Airy doesn't pass that much...
Remember what I said about Murphy this year. They have been up and down. EW caught them on a down night, much like Hayesville did. Hayesville came close too but I don’t think they would stay within three or four TDs if they played Murphy on a good night this year.Starmount did just enough to beat EW. EW wasn't good defensively in the trenches. Mt.Airy will be too much for anyone coming out of the SMC this year. Just my thoughts...but that's why we play the game...Kinda like I thought EW didn't have a snowballs chance against Murphy this year...but honestly they should've won.
That's where you're wrong most of the west besides Andrew's are downWell it’s true they are better than they were last year but I think there’s a lot more good teams in the west this year than previous years.
