Seems to me the teams that faced CC were passing teams and relied on the pass all year to win games. QB centered offenses, so they went to their strength to win. They had success passing because they had success passing all year. Problem is, passing teams don't eat up the clock like running teams. They don't wear down defenses.
JHS has a similar concept. They run the ball and CAN eat up the clock, but they usually scored so quickly running, that they allowed a lot of posessions for the other team to score, so their defensive numbers weren't as good. If CC forces them to avg. 4 -5 yards per carry instead of their regular 9 ypc, then they will just have longer, more time consuming drives. But, they will still run the ball and eat up clock. They will not resort to passing more than running or passing a lot.
Based on the strengths of both teams, this should be a lower scoring game, with each team running the ball and eating clock. The only questions will be, who can sustain drives and who can limit turnovers. If they can both sustain drives, it will all come down to TO's, like i've said from the beginning.
