Teams with smaller linemen and quick backs often opts for the wider splits. One that comes to mind was Northern Guilford but I looked at them more as I do Catholic now.

Northern Guilford would line up with WIDE splits, but would come back to normal splits, maybe .5 yards.
I like the split backs as it makes Catholic even up and I can see they try to create lanes for that QB to slip through. They want to widen Catholic out upfront but I just dont think Jville is gonna be able to move them.

But please find the post where I said that Jacksonville will run the ball on CC for 9 yards a carry? Not what someone else may have said but show me where I said it. As far as schedule goes I mean your in a big metropolitan area. So how many 2A schools are actually in the Charlotte area? So of course you will play more bigger schools then what we do. We are in a rural area so how many 3A or 4A schools are around and that makes sense for both schools to schedule? Again go back and look I never bought up anything about your schedule and playing some weaker teams until one of your supporters tried and use that argument about our schedule. Find me a team in the state who don’t have a few raker teams in their schedule? I mean most people on here making comments have never seen Jacksonville play. Most are not traveling the 4 hours to come watch them just like most in the East can only go by what they hear about CC. The bottom line is like I said before and most of you seem to not want to understand. All the talk about what happened to this team and that team how you shut down this team and that player means nothing come Saturday. If Jacksonville don’t come out with a good game plan to stop CC they lose. If CC don’t show up with a good game plan to stop Jacksonville they lose. Real simple! No guarantees on either side regardless of what anyone has to say. That is what bothers y’all the most it seems. Nobody can have a opinion that this can be a good high school football game. CC could have gone to the title game the last 20 years straight. That has nothing to do with Saturday. Jacksonville could have ran for 800 yards a game. That has both to do with Saturday. Here is two teams that have never met. Let them decide it on the field and not on a message board is all I been saying all alone. You guys get your panties in a bunch when nobody agrees with you on how CC is suppose to dominate. We get it we get it they have a awesome defense. Let’s just see if they are who you say they are on Saturday. Trust me I will be the first guy on here to say. Yes CC defense is who they say they are. Cards will go with with their strength and what has gotten them here. Talking about being able to stop it and stopping it is two different stories. Every team that Jacksonville has played knows what’s coming and that’s a running game that you have to stop. Some have contained it maybe for a half but have not been able to stop it. So we will see Saturday.

I believe it’s gonna be hard for Jax to score on CC. Their defense might be the best in the state. Very well-coached and disciplined. But seeing how many many points the Cards have scored,they might just be score more than what people think. Until someone beats CC, I gotta go with the Cougars.
Yep, it seems like almost every year, rain or snow messes up the finals. It may not be bad for the kids playing but for fans watching it can be nasty. I know it’s nature and no one can help it but we have to deal with this stuff every year.
Seems like CC always gets that bad weather. The last three South Point Championship games I attended were actually clear and cold.
I didn’t attend the game but it did look cool watching on tv. Kinda every kids dream game to play in the snow for all the marbles.
Jax is legit this year imo. I'm not saying they will beat CC but they are very good and have a shot. I would be surprised if this wasn't a closer game than most on here think.
In '14 New Bern put points on CC early and survived. If that game had been 5 quarters it could have ended differently because CC just continues to grind you out and they don't make mistakes. What has me intrigued are the similarities to that NB team that Jax has--lots of speed, a good O that spreads you way out with really wide splits, and some serious fight in them. When Jax pounded NB in 2015 I knew they had turned the corner and they've gotten better every year. Havelock has been the team to beat down here for awhile. It makes me sick to say that but it's true. When they got up on you early it was always 100% over. The fact Jax came back from being down 3 scores to win last week tells me all I need to know about their fight and chemistry. Coaching staffs are equal IMO-both excellent. I also truly believe the Havelock team they beat last week was much better than last years version. With all that said I have no clue how this game will play out. I think New Bern's success against CC was ultimately about their D. Even though their O could always score and they had the Mike Hughes factor, their D was stellar throughout the '14 season and especially in the tail end of that championship game. CC has also been in this setting many times and most would think that would favor them but I can't think of a bigger stage to win on than last weeks east regional victory over the Rams. If Jax plays some solid D on Saturday it could be a close game.

This CC team isn’t as dominant as last year’s team. However, that D is great
Only difference I see in catholic from then to now is size and some sideline to sideline speed. I’m just saying, If Jax can take care of the football, sustain some drives and play solid disciplined defense I believe they have a real chance to win. I’m not saying I’d bet on them I’m not saying catholic isn’t good. Catholic deserves the respect they have earned for sure, but the game still has to be played.

Catholic is about on the same level as Havelock. Jacksonville split games with Havelock this year. Even the game they loss 5 turnovers will do any team in against a great team. Even with that with 5 minutes left in the game was driving to take the lead. So yeah should be a good game. A toss up on who wins. Nobody goes to Havelock and be down 28-7 at the half and come out in the 2nd half and dominate the Rams. So if we want to base off last opponents.
JHS defense is not very good. Just look how many yards and points they have given up. JHS offense is good but not great. Oline is small and slow. These JHS guys are over hyping their team way to much. Their offense with all this speed and great skill, not one is top 200 in the state of NC, not one. Rbs and QB are small, quick not blazing fast as they keep saying it. I've seen JHS twice this year, wouldn't call the offense great by no means. CC fans just leave it alone these clowns aren't going away. They haven't been here in 25 years so don't understand What it takes to win a title. They go from not even showing up or giving the rings back if they win, to now saying their offense best in the nation. Passing game below average and running game one dimensional at best. CC 24+
