Okay then. It is kind of funny that more players and coaches are coming out about this and YET when they play these players are being coached to maul CC22 at every opportunity.

Agree.

I think the Fever ultimately will move on from
KM, NH, and Sydney. The question is AB. Do they really go big and reimagine this roster. I think they should strongly consider it.

I watched the interview with McCutchen. Talk is cheap. Where are the results? Why are so many players upset with officiating, especially Clark?

From the article:

"We own the stuff that we need to own," he said. "We're really good about that and trying to get better. It's an important piece of our culture to drive toward better performance, but there's always going to be noise about officiating that is inaccurate. We have to stay the course to what good training and good performance look like."

What's inaccurate? Where is the "Ownership"?

The inability or refusal to act or even publicly address this and similar incidents reflects very poorly on the Commissioner.

It is my understanding that Cathy Engelbert was a career accountant before taking over as WNBA Commissioner. She is proving herself incompetent.

The league desperately needs a forceful Commissioner- someone with a strong BB background who also understands the economics and has a vision that leads to necessary reforms.

Here is a statement from the WNBPA regarding today's meeting in Indianapolis. Note that they state that business is booming. Sure, ratings and ticket sales are up, but which INDIVIDUAL is driving that?

A couple issues, where the players are demanding their share of the money:

(1) The WNBA's new $2.2 billion media rights deal starts next season

(2) The league plans to expand to 18 teams by 2030, with each of the 3 new clubs paying a $250 million expansion fee.

$250M per team????? Wow. Why any owner would throw away $250M on a money losing venture is an interesting question.

Let's face it. To survive in the WNBA, it helps to be Black, a lesbian and an activist (preferably all 3).
