If Caitlin is out for the All Star game, the W is going to find out how ****** they are. Ratings will go down, attendance will be down. The hometown hero and captain being out will be disastrous.

Watching the WNBA continue to step on its own d*** over and over and over and over again is really a sight to behold.
It’s unwatchable without Clark. Some of these shots look like junior high kids farting around at the park.

these towns wanting expansion teams realize Clark will only place a couple times in their arena each year?

NBA will be writing bigger checks soon.

The WNBA has been a semi-mess for quite awhile now. Clark’s entry only served to amplify what was already apparent.

That senior WNBA officials failed to properly anticipate the heightened scrutiny and, worse, that they failed to adjust and reform is the focus of Christine Brennan’s new book.

the WNBA is not a proactive organization, that’s clear. The real disappointment IMO is they are just as bad at reacting as well.

The recent expansion news is absolutely insane--and a huge mistake. As we've seen, even Fever ticket prices plummet when Caitlin is out. League leadership thinks all of this new attention is here to stay, and while that may eventually pan out to be true, who knows for sure. It is still the Caitlin show, whether people like that or not. The league would have been wise to take all of this new interest and attention and improve the current product to a point where fans were clamoring for more. Demand must drive expansion, particularly when the product has been around for 30 years and has never gained traction. Absolute case study in self-destructive decision-making by the leadership.

I've never seen such a dirty play in all my decades watching basketball, but leave it to the lawless Wild, Wild West of the WNBA to invent such a dirty move.

Last week Paige said she needed to learn to foul more in the WNBA. Too bad then Sheldon isn't still with the Wings, Paige could have learned from one of the best (or worst).

I wonder if Paige would like to resume playing a more pure style of ball? I'm sure many in the league would. So much downtime across the league for injured players, the rough play can't be helping.

Time for Caitlin and the like minded to form the new 21st century ABA.

Wonder what the ref said, and I missed the knee by Jacy there. Contrary to what the video says that’s not where she reinjured it.

Yeah, the Sheldon dirty play happened around the 5:10 mark in the 2nd quarter. Caitlin obviously didn't come up gimpy on that play, but nevertheless it's just more wear and tear that can't be helping.

Kind of want her to play, kind of want her to never play in this league again.
Clark has repeatedly said that playing in the WNBA has been her dream since early childhood.

Do people really believe that she would quit now? I mean, understand fans are frustrated but let’s be real this is what she has wanted to do her whole life.

Should she quit? No. But if she did, the wnba would immediately go back to being irrelevant with very few fans or viewership.

More and more I am beginning to suspect that is what they want. They want to go back to playing unscrutinized thug ball with their own clique of players.

I can see you are frustrated - many are, including myself. If you look at the history of pro sports, major reforms came about under the initiative and direction of a strong Commissioner.

The WNBA needs to replace Engelbert ASAP after the season is concluded.

Not likely, but if she quit then rebounding will be the gold standard. ;)

Ben isn't pleased with the Fever organization. Easy to see why. I remember a line from one of my college classes. Paraphrasing: "The shortest way out of Manchester is in a bottle..." Not to this degree of course, but, what's the shortest way out of Indy? J/K, but let the lady heal up and be up front with the fans please.

The Fever have gone ice cold. Howard, somehow, missed two straight gimme layups.
