Of course, now that we're finally getting some meaningful rain, everybody has forgotten how to drive in it. What a miserable commute this morning!

Don’t miss those days; my commute from my bed to my couch (with my dog) to watch CNBC this morning was a breeze.

We go to the office 2-3 days a week (50-50). Most of pharma (non-lab) jobs are now like this. I only have a 20 min commute, so can't complain!

Has this rain put the N Jersey/S NY brush fires out? I did a quick search and mapofire seems to only show them in So Jersey and to the WSW.

The drought is dead, long live the drought! Nice to see, finally - and this was issued before most of the rain today.

Totally agree. Needed it, got it! Now we need a summer of rain while we all are sleeping.
In the Philadelphia area yesterday and today this wasn't a bucket filler by no means but adds up.

Got 1" in the bucket, which I was quite happy about, as we're hosting a big party (son's fiancee's wedding shower) tomorrow and had new sod put in 2 weeks ago and were afraid it would be a bit soggy if we got the 2-3" that some got - sod's a bit wet now, but in decent shape and should be even better with 18 hours of drying ahead of us with low humidity, wind and some sun. Along and SE of 95 mostly got 1/2-1", while large areas NW of 95 got 1.-2" of rain (and some spots up to 3") with numerous flash flood warnings last night. Little to no rain in sight for the next 10 days with temps finally going above normal - could hit 90F mid-week in some locations.

Looks like May was one of the wettest ever for many in our area. Sadly it looks like more rain this weekend for our area. Every weekend it seems anymore it rains. Sucks
