honestly I thought it was a pretty good burn by the guy. It's true...Clemson, Iowa, Michigan, Purdue, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Illinois have all gone down at the RAC, but Lafayette won. Can't help but laugh about it.

Not even close to being a foul and certainly not a dirty play.
I can't even count how many games I played with fingers taped; never broken. Never seemed to affect my play regardless which hand it was but I agree, would be better for it to be non-shooting hand. Between my fingers and my ankles, should have bought stock in an athletic tape company.
Fouls are called when somebody gets "tapped" all the time---shooting fouls, reach-in, etc.
And we all complain about officials calling ticky tack fouls. It was neither a foul nor a dirty play.
The ball was being passed to Ron and hand contact was made by the defender. How is it not a foul?

similar but for me it was pinkies on both hands.. the mid knuckles snap oddly on them. middle finer of left hand.. fingertip doesn't quite reach the palm.. but it works otherwise.

Well 1) an R player was injured on the play and 2) the contact led to a turnover. That's a foul.
that statement likely means it's up to ron, so I expect to see him on the court at least some on Sunday... would be kind of cool to bring him in off the bench to give the team a jolt of energy...
I don’t see a foul. And someone suggesting it was a dirty play? Looked like great hustle to me. Bad pass + in that moment Ron should have gone towards the ball

If that was a foul then the 15-20 times we crashed the boards and knocked their guys out of the way, or onto the floor, should've been fouls as well.
How could that be a foul when Paul got smacked in the face on a shot and that wasn't? It seemed to me that most of the fouls called were barely fouls and the harder ones were let go.
bad pass? It hit Ron right in the hands. The pass came out quickly and he was about 20ft away. Not sure anyone's reaction time to come back for the ball there is realistic--we're not talking about a 15 yd curl route pass.
But ok if hand contact isn't going to be called lol.
In pressure / press situations the player receiving the pass needs to go towards the ball(not sit and wait for the ball to arrive).
Reacting to the defender is not what is expected - as you state you can’t react that quickly . You have to assume pressure will come from somewhere so when the other team is pressing the player getting the pass needs to go towards the ball (not sit and wait for it ). This is 101 stuff

Bottom line: the defender's hand made contact with Ron's shoulder. So that's not a foul?
A player getting injured doesn’t make a play a foul. It would’ve been ticky tack at best.
Explain why the hand contact isn't a foul. I'm open to hearing this explanation.
Not everything needs to be, is, or should be called a "foul." 9 out of 10 THAT particular play goes without a whistle.
Didn;'t say that---the point is this contact wasn't some hand-to-hand contact away from the ball.
When i watched the replay last night i thought it was possibly a foul, but wasn't an obvious slam dunk foul - we've also seen plays like that not be called fouls, too - I actually prefer less touch fouls being called, as that plays into our aggressive physical defensive style. My complaint when it was 10-3 fouls against us in the 2nd half wasn't the fouls called on us, so much, but the failure to call similar contact from them fouls, especially when guys like Ron Harper are driving to the hoop and getting hit, but no fouls are being called.
