Who are the 4 figures that you would put on RU MBB Mount Rushmore? For me it would be:
-Steve Pikiell
-Gary Waters
-Quincy Douby
-Geo Baker

If you just chop his stats after 4 years (and don't count this year), he'd have finished 5th in assists, 8th in steals, and 18th in points.

For reference to the 1976 team and games played: Sellers and Dabney played 114 games, Jordan played 116, Anderson played 120, and Bailey and Copeland played 121. Baker had 117 through the end of last season.

He was fired as many others were, he could not turn RU into a NCAA team

He failed at what is our goal

We had some decent seasons, a NIT bid or two
We lost too many road games

He was a good coach, but I would not honor him

He was kind of up and down but you bring up a good point. After the Bannon debacle, we got Gary beating four ranked teams at the RAC that year when everyone thought we would be awful. He went to three NITs and a final. After the Rice debacle we had Eddie. Just a bad fit but he will always be one of my favorites.
