1. Recruiting. He started out strong and has a knack for under the radar guys. His team has made the tournament and he failed to capitalize on it by bringing in his three weakest classes in a row. He is in arguably the best conference but can’t seem to leverage it. His top recruit, a four star either isn’t all that or he has no idea what to do with him. Our last two classes including next years are ranked No higher than 12th in the B1G. Next years class is an absolute joke so far. He did nothing n the portal except land a kid who fell into his lap and he isnt living up to expectations either.

2. Coaching….just yesterday alone and not even mentioning the ridiculous OOC losses. He took his self proclaimed best team he ever had and lost to a team without three on their top players playing largely because he can’t motivate them. We Lost this game in the first 5 minutes in my opinion and he let them continue without any accountability. We had arguably 7 of the best 8 players that played yesterday and still lost. He never even tried to change the tempo and we were dumbfounded yet again against a zone. I’m not sure if we ever broke out one of our 27 out of bounds plays since we were lucky to even inbound the ball on many occasions. Also, the 2nd half of his “best center tandom by far”, doesn’t even play because he greatly misjudged his talent.

as far as his getting to the tournament, he capitalized on his early recruiting success which no longer exists.

His recruits will be fine. I personally like winning games again. I never saw us beat a #1 or beat Michigan.

Wasn't cliff a top level recruit. I guess when he signed you were upset.

Very happy to say I'm not watching any of these games this year. Not sure why people would be wasting their time on a team so utterly underperforming

Reiber has been really good this year. Not sure how you could bring him into consideration

Right. I’m not saying we should give the man a lifetime contract or something. Just, like, the people who think we are going to look like Nebraska next year can we at least let that play out before we lose our ******* minds.

lol…I have no problem with the last play. Yes, Cliff was a top recruit and Pikes last two classes are still rated this low. No reason to chill out. I’m not upset…just answering a question. Choose to believe what you want. Yeah, I’m upset that Cliff signed…lol..I was ecstatic. Pike is making 2.6 million dollars but any criticism of him is attacked….hilarious.

I hate to tie it back to covid but this reminds of people who wear masks alone in a car. They are shot. No coming back.

imagine being a rutgers fan over last 40 years, sitting at 5-3 in big 10 a year after a round of 32 loss and thinking it is so bad the coach needs to be fired.

How much brain damage or drugs does that person have to have to think this way?


fascinating what a down year can do to people after years of being absolutely horrible. First people think there will be no more bad years or loses because we made it to ncaa tournament. No people think a 5-3 big 10 record is grounds for being fired.

Pike has landed a mix of 4 stars and underrated finds.

I do agree that I thought we may have been able to reel in a monster class coming off a tournament appearance which hasn't happened
