Let’s put this into perspective as to how ridiculous it is to only have 5000.

Nebraska is hosting Rutgers this weekend in baseball. They are expecting up to 6000 fans for a baseball game and that’s more than we can have for our spring football game in a stadium with a capacity of 53,000.

No fans with the exception of parents are allowed at Rutgers baseball games!
Insane

Disgusting and Inexcusable

We really going to judge a college president by football attendance ?
So you decided to skip right over the graduations being held at other schools. But Holloway and his crew of geniuses couldn't figure it out? He's done plenty to piss people off, now I'm still waiting for his truly astonishing achievements. O and the attendance thing, it's not good to piss off the rest of your brethren, he managed to accomplish that in a matter of months save for one school.

Colleges in NJ are having graduations in person. They are spreading them out in a logistical manner to abide by current rules. Holloway and his team of so called smart people couldn't figure it out but others could? Great leadership there. Seems his only mandate has been hide under your bed till you're vaccinated. What has he done so far that has astonished you? Hold the rest of the B1G hostage to have no fans in the stands otherwise he was going to vote NO and cancel having a season? Did Rutgers one of the most diverse Universities in the US really need a VP of Equity? What was the purpose of that to waste more money?
This. I don't care if he's orange, white, a zebra, poka dotted, half man-half motorcycle, a martian, or a trans...

As our President he's been super under whelming since his first intro speech.

The graduation thing is not good. They are morons for not figuring it out , I agree . But a college president is not going to be judged by attendance policies for school events and sporting games during a pandemic .

I believe most of us said it about Julie. That was gender based not race, but still probably stuck in the craw of you woke. I know I was quite vocal in the way Sweeney treated Sean Frazier.

I was a big Julie supporter, she actually did have a solid resume...HOWEVER its pretty clear that her being a woman played a huge role in getting the job. I dont know why people get so freaked out about it..why do you think that trans Health commisioner from PA got a job in the Biden administration.do people really think its her credentials? These things all factor in....if race didnt matter then they would not be talking all about how he was the first black this, etc blah blah blah

Can you imagine the reaction from Schiano, Hobbs or Holloway if they read this thread?

oh stop clutching your pearls, just because you and some other disagree doesnt mean you have to pull the race card out yet again, its sad for you

I’m not new to Rutgers nor the Rutgers community.

Fortunately, this board and your views are a reflection of a very small minority of Americans and even smaller minority of the Rutgers community.

then you need a history lesson on the McCormick hire and general thoughts about him

and your last two points show you dont have much of an understanding besides pulling a race card

You wanted to know, "how do I figure" I laid out what he's done so far in his regime which has translated into, "not a rip roaring start." I only have what he's done so far to go on, could that all change? Sure, but up until this point his only mandate has been hide under your bed till you're vaccinated. That's leading from behind.

Bac is right that biden’s choice for VP was based on demographics
It was a political move based on who would bring in the most votes.
Just like JFK put LBJ on his ticket as VP.
Obama chose Biden for VP because Joe could get the support from people worried about Obama's political experience.
Trump picked Pence to help him get the religious vote and calm the mainstream Republicans so they would vote for the Trump/Pence ticket
So your demographics reason is a good way to put it.

What some call raciest is just political maneuvering and not just the race factor.
But it can be made into a race move very easily by those who try to use race as the only reason.

Also checked the L box. And now she’s selling real estate. It’s actually unfortunate because I found Julie to be a pretty warm person with some good ideas, and could have been successful elsewhere.

Heard through the grapevine today that greg is not happy about the crowd limit for the spring game. And his staff is certainly in Holloway’s ears about it. Will it make a difference? Stay tuned,

Also heard the coaching staff is planing for regular summer HS camps on campus this summer though they’ve not yet been given the OK from Holloway to hold them.
When u say reg HS football camps would that also go for 7th graders going in to 8th or r u hearing HS only.

Pointed out in another thread that those are going to be held in June and those colleges have much higher percentage of in state students and fewer students overall.

actually I agree here.,.,.and actually one of the most surprising things she was a lesbian but she didnt talk about it. Thats how it should be. There was no preaching or special agenda.

the sad part is the medias treatment of her was a harbinger of things to come nationally...say a bad thing about the media and all of them will ban together to try and get rid of you

we were talking specifically about HS camps. I’d assume this goes for youth camps too.

The staff still believes they’ll go on as scheduled but no go ahead yet from the Prez

Id argue that any position like that...and especially in a state like our...is a political position. She got careless with her words and got creamed for it - part of the reason she wasn’t a good hire...and the reason Hobbs, Tim, Schiano were, they’re shrewd politically. As we saw with Hobbs over that softball bs, the ledger hasn’t changed. Destroying a career and an athletic program is good for ad revenue. Then they get to write more articles about what a disaster RU sports is.

He bolted from UW because they got wind of his affair...something we all got to read about in his email admitting to it...which was an instant classic.

I did and so did many here on the Barchi hire. He was here to do the merger and somehow as a political favor was promoted to President. Many here hated the hire and thought he was unqualified coming from Thomas Jefferson University.
So ...did you question whether he only got the job because he was a white dude? Or nah

Many also loved the hire. Admittedly, he sucked tor athletics...but he was very good for academics. And the merger was one of the biggest things to ever happen to Rutgers.

This is true . But we have had our share of lousy white presidents : Lawrence , McCormick and barchi . Just blind odds Holloway is gonna be better than at least 1 of them .
absolutely but again, not the best persons for the job as they were political or the like type hires. Need to look past the nonsense and just hire based on experience, vision, etc..

And it’s 50 % active ? Is this one of those yogi quotes?
Your President just today provided kindergarten graphics of just about every scenario us children can encounter, Vaxed and Un-Vaxed. He gave us permission based on "Science" to go and prosper at outdoor events. Sports and Concerts, etc.
I don't do Yogi. You must have me confused, But if I did it would go something like this:

"if your head is up your *** when you speak your burp is gonna fart".

You’re one of those idiots that don’t realize the president, despite whatever political party they belong to , is in fact “our” president.
