Not true, I know several cigar smokers who inhale. Smoker includes vapers and cigar smokers too.
You may know some f-ing idiots but 99.99999% of cigars smokers do not inhale. Vapers do inhale. Show me the state announcement where cigars smokers are allowed. I've looked everywhere. You are posting it as fact. Time to prove it.

Heavy drinking causing liver and kidney damage ... check
Unprotected sex results in HIV...check
Over-eating causing obesity, diabetes, heart disease, etc... check
Smoking...nope that is where I draw my arbitrary line

NJ Public health Expert Response
"Meanwhile, Lightfoot said critics can pick at several different conditions that put people at increased risk of COVID complications.

“I could say, ‘You got diabetes because you’re overweight,’” Lightfoot said. “Or, ‘You got HIV because of your sexual behavior.’ Society can go on and on.”

Isn't it just "smoking" in general that qualifies you and not lung cancer or other smoking-related diseases.

You shouldn't get preference for being a heavy drinker or condom-free man-*****, either.

Find a link where it does. The requirement is about impairment of the lungs. Cigar smokers don't inhale.

Second hand smoke is inhaled by the smokers and surrounding individuals. A technicality, but second hand smoke is a real thing and can impair the lungs. I'd use that in an argument.

So I've been warned about something I posted in this thread. Step up and tell me where I crossed a line on here?? Other threads maybe but this one??

You did hurl an abbreviated f-bomb and idiot consecutively towards cigar smokers who inhale. Not the worst thing, but maybe that was the violation.

Prolly easier to ask the person who warned you?

Maybe the part where you called the cigar-chugging friends idiots. Lame, if so.

It's still posted so that wasn't it. And that wasn't an attack on anyone posting on this board.
Also cigars aren't fortified with nicotine so second hand smoke is not an issue. Besides they aren't letting people getting second hand smoke to get vaccinated

My 87y/o mother can't get an appointment in Long Island anywhere. My brother & I have been searching daily for weeks. Either none s available or they say it's for 1st responders...who all should have had theirs by now.
Same in New Jersey for my 87 year old mom. She's on lists at RWJ, St Peters and the state. At least we can all rest easy knowing that all the incarcerated scumbags got theirs already.

Question..so this is all honor system?? Someone can say they smoke or have one of the health issues listed to get vaccinated quicker? (That's what I gather from some comments I've seen)
If true, that's some bad karmic energy coming their way.

Def bad karma for people who lie or skip the line to get their shot(s)

But, our esteemed Gov (😂) has set up a landscape to allow people to do so

My golf buddy’s MD recently got the 2nd Moderna vaccine and experienced most of the uncomfortable symptoms mentioned, incldg fever, headache and flu like symptoms for a day or two.

He recommended the following remedy for those getting the 2nd Moderna shot:

Take 2 Tylenol before getting the 2nd shot and 1 Aleve after to deal with possible side effects.

Thats the strategy I’m going with.

Texas also allowed the elderly (past 65) to register and vaccinate without medical reasons as a precondition. For a politico, his response se has been well received (generally) by most. The state has retained a semblance of normality with no shutdowns/lockdowns since 1 May.

Although I doubt full CFB attendance happens this season, I’m hopeful for 50-75% (that’s still 50K +)

I havent confirmed this yet, but I heard the four First Cousin Incest Festivals held last month required vaccinations to gain entrance. That would easily explain the 83% vaccination rate.

You beat me to that response.
If you get married in West Virginia and divorced in Arkansas, are you still brother and sister?

I don't think you need the Tylenol before getting the shot since symptoms don't kick until at least 12 hours later.

There have been articles out of LA that show 50% of healthcare workers there won't get it. I have 2 employees who have no interest in getting it at my surgery center.
As a health care worker, why do you think that is?

stupidity? Honestly it's the only thing I can come up with.

I had my 2 vaccines. Last one on January 18th. Just did my rapid immunity test. I've got antibodies and I am a happy camper.
The red line next to the C is the control. The very dark line in the middle is my IGG antibody....the one that protects against bacterial and viral infections.

My wife’s PA got fever, headache and flu symptoms immediately after the shot that lasted 36 hours.

Everyone reacts differently. No way to know ahead of time how you will react to the 2nd shot.

Down South, once you cross state lines all bets are off. It's even worse than being in West Virginia.

I would make myself feel better by telling myself it must be working.
I had zero reaction to either Shingles shot, had no reaction to first modern shot

That’s bad advice. Any side effects is your bodies immune response. That’s what you want, you don’t want to stifle it.

You want the side effects of the 2nd shot for possibly the next 36 hours? Not me. That cuts out my Sunday golf game since I’m getting shot 2 tomorrow.

The advice he gave is for someone who will undergo immediate side effects like he did, as well as what some others have experienced. If you are not in that group then it’s irrelevant to you.

Im just the messenger on this. 2 local MD’s in my circle had immediate side effects. I hope I don’t have any of that.

so much wrong here I don't know where to start. The side effects are not debilitating, not life threatening. as @zappaa said.... gut up.

I never said it was debilitating, just uncomfortable for some for 36 hours.

If Tylenol and Aleve are helpful, but not necessary, then how debilitating could it be? You are over reacting imo.

Was at my Dr. today and asked him about the second shot and he said to take 2 Tylenol every 6 hours (after the shot) for a day or 2 but he didn’t say it was essential. He also told me to lose weight but I have a great mirror I got from a fun house and it shows me to be quite thin, so I don’t know if you should take the Tylenol advice.
