That doesn't matter they need the vaccine anyway because they are not sure how long the antibodies last; for that matter they are not really sure how long the vaccine will last will it require a booster every year? every 2? who knows

Yes we still need to get vaccine but if there are people out there with antibodies we can't track we might need only 50% vaccinated right away instead of 70% to get these numbers low as possible. I could be optimistic about it but we'll only know as we move forward.

As a supposed civilized nation why do we tolerate these anti-vaxers?
If these idiots don’t want the shot that’s their business, if they attempt to stop others who want the vaccine they should be shot with a tranquilizer gun immediately
WTF....get these idiots out of the way
Mix the vaccine with the traquilizer when you shoot them.

Well no crap people need both shots for full protection, but you can’t accelerate the 3-5 week wait time. Good thing is that a single dose seems to offer a good amount of protection.

As the supply increases, our daily vaccinations will increase. J&J will be approved in 2-3 weeks too. Everything is trending in the right direction.
Isn't the J&J vaccine only 66% effective? Given that, I want either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. I hope I have the choice.

You can't go by that number JNJ did way more testing in other countries including South Africa where this supposed new variant and more contagious strain came from; If you look at their data the vaccine was 100% for no one dying and 95% effective for keeping people out of the hospital so the only real difference is that there may be a little more of a chance that you can get a very mild case of Covid but that is also the case with Moderna and Pfizer; As an aside they are concurrently running a 2 dose study to see if their vaccine is more effective with the second dose but there is no reason one would not want to take the JNJ vaccine

The J &J vaccine tested against the UK and South Africa variants while those variants weren’t around when Pfizer and Moderna effectiveness were determined.I believe J&J was 75% effective in US before those variants.

I guess it will be summer before I’m even close to getting one of these shots...maybe it is the wrong attitude but not even giving it much thought 🤷🏻‍♂️

So many of my neighbors say they are opting out (to borrow the newest, hippest FB term). This kind of thinking I don’t get, but then again in the military we were “pin cushions” and my shot record is looooooong, and we were not given a choice when it came to shots (there was no opting out)

Anthrax, by the way,...worst shot EVER!! 🤭

We're all going to have to get booster shots of these vaccines in a couple years anyway.

Supply is a much greater problem. We literally have mega sites just standing by waiting for doses.
when my wife got her's last sat at Rowan site she said only half the stations were operating. Hunterdon County site only giving out doses 1 day per week vs. 5 or 6. NOTHING at the Doctor's offices Shop Rites, or Pharms yet.

100% a supply issue. Whether that's production or distribution who knows. But it is 100% supply.

Call the Gov. Only 60% of delivered vaccines have made it into arms.

Most states are saying they have supply issues yet only used half of what has been delivered to them. They are having internal distribution issues not supply at this point. Sending deliveries to Pharmacies is a complete waste at this time. They aren't set up to do a 100 a day. Go into you local CVS or Walgreens. How many people are working in the Pharmacy. 1 or 2? Have they made a large space to sit 6 feet apart for people to wait 15 mins post vaccination? I haven't seen any.

The US average is sitting at 63% administered right now. The rest of the 37% is not just sitting there waiting to be used. Some is set aside for the remaining LTC shots, some are set aside for second doses, and small amounts are for first doses waiting to be put into arms via scheduled appointments in the next week (which are completely sold out). Don’t know why you can’t understand this.

Oh God. You need to do a lot more research!

Call the Gov. Only 60% of delivered vaccines have made it into arms.

Is that because they are holding back the other 40% for 2nd doses? If not they can send them here:

VACCINATION CLINICS UPDATE
There are likely over 50,000 individuals in Hunterdon County currently eligible to receive vaccine. The Hunterdon County Health Department is provided only 400-500 first doses of vaccine per week.

Most individuals will not be able to secure an appointment at this time. The Health Department shares your frustration. There are simply too many people for too few appointments.

PS. he stopped taking my calls MONTHS ago lol.

When everyone from the president to every state governor to the local vaccination centers all agree the issue is supply, think it’s time to listen
Weren't they the ones that said they were going to release all the 2nd doses in early January? What happened there? Oh thats right they said there wasn't any! 😳

And the Hillbilly's down in Morgantown are saying "If you Guido's are so smart, why aren't you at 83% like we are?"

I havent confirmed this yet, but I heard the four First Cousin Incest Festivals held last month required vaccinations to gain entrance. That would easily explain the 83% vaccination rate.

Mix the vaccine with the traquilizer when you shoot them.

You beat me to that response.

Some have reported increased flu like symptoms after the 2nd versus the 1st.

Dont you love it when people get mad cause OT was not in the title...even though the title clearly is OT?

Hell freezes over at vaccination sites towards the end of the day if younare lucky. Find out where they are doing them and either call or stop by near the time they finish. You might catch unused doses which would otherwise be wasted due to no shows. It never hurts to ask.
Excellent advice , that’s how me, my wife, and my father in law were able to get it

I have not heard of any vaccinations given without a return date provided before you leave the vaccination site?
My return date and documentation needed to be presented upon my return was a huge deal
I got vaccinated yesterday at a Middlesex County location. I was told I would get an Email within an hour to schedule my second. A day later I'm still waiting and getting nervous that it's going to be a hassle.

Well, East Texas folks can be an odd bunch, lol. Maybe you can talk some sense into them eventually.
Well South Texas...but it is an odd stance to take...although this neighborhood here is not very native. There are NYers, Floridians, two NJ families, three from PA...several from CA. The influx of “foreigners” has been remarkable.

I have seen more Eagles, Patriots and Giants flags than cowboys or Texans.

Glad I got the real thing in November. The vaccine rollout in NJ seems like a disaster.

Why should smokers get preference?
Heavy drinking causing liver and kidney damage ... check
Unprotected sex results in HIV...check
Over-eating causing obesity, diabetes, heart disease, etc... check
Smoking...nope that is where I draw my arbitrary line

NJ Public health Expert Response
"Meanwhile, Lightfoot said critics can pick at several different conditions that put people at increased risk of COVID complications.

“I could say, ‘You got diabetes because you’re overweight,’” Lightfoot said. “Or, ‘You got HIV because of your sexual behavior.’ Society can go on and on.”

Not for the vaccine in NJ
Its all an honor system anyway so depending on what site you are able to sign up for its all different for control. Our county site requires proof of residency or work in county.
The car in front of us last Sat in Glassboro had NY plates.
Anybody can claim they smoke when registering and qualify. What a system.
I always claimed to be a "smoker" from the waist down after sex. Haha.

Find a link where it does. The requirement is about impairment of the lungs. Cigar smokers don't inhale.
Not true, I know several cigar smokers who inhale. Smoker includes vapers and cigar smokers too.
