Rutgers played their guts out
Gio played a helluva game. And he would have played even better if he had more game reps during the year. Tough to criticize him on one start at the end of the season.
I would still fire Ash.

DUMB! DUMB! DUMB!WTF are we calling TO for here?

How is that a TO on Rutgers when theres an injured MSU player on the field? Aftwr 2 minutes, MSU shouldve been charged with a TO.
he's got 5 more years on his gift contract but i dont think thats enough time for him to qualify as a HCDUMB! DUMB! DUMB!
Bonehead coaching!!!!!
Wasted a timeout and gave the MSU offense time to set up the trick play.
Ash has a lot to learn about being a head coach.
Rutgers played their guts out
Extend Chris AshSo we are a 24 point underdog on the road against MSU and we have a chance to win on the last drive and it’s a doom and gloom?
Gio and the seniors gave it their all..too bad they could not pull it out.
RU is whats its record says it is...1-11 with a really bad head coach that will start this mess all over again next season
And around the big ten the east division and 3 west opponents are popping Champaign to celebrate their automatic win in 2019, and 4 west opponents saying it’s not fair!!!!!!Most incompetent Coach in the B1G.
We have 2 more years of Hobbs and Ash. The CFB world is laughing at us.
Really? Let me ask you this.. WHY were we 24 point dogs to a team who had not scored a TD in.. what was it.. 8 quarters? Did you see how bad MSU's offense was? And, knowing that.. we were made 24 point dogs.So we are a 24 point underdog on the road against MSU and we have a chance to win on the last drive and it’s a doom and gloom?

And you think the "doom and gloom" generated by that circumstance should be erased by a nice effort by our defense?
Most overlooked play at the end might've been Young letting that punt bounce. Punt was kicked from their 48 and landed 33 yards past the LOS at our 19, but Young slowed, then stopped rather than running up to make the fair catch. Looked like he could've gotten there without too much trouble. Instead, ball on our 1 yard line, we punt (and not well) and they score when they hadn't moved the ball much all day. We still had a chance, though.
I still want Ash gone, but it's at least good to see, over the last several games, that our defense has come a long way and our offense at least has a running game and could be significantly better with even a mediocre QB (which is a huge upgrade from AS).
Extend Chris Ash
Cant see why J Lewis couldn't fit this mold. Guess we'll find out when he plays for another team in the future. If Gio were to scramble to throw.. even with his limitations.. he could have won some games.
Looking forward.. should be pretty easy to find some JC and xfers who can catch footballs.
most true of all responses. I am mourning. RU footballNot sure which of our Off units are the worst....O line, WR or QB... when all 3 are the worst in all of D1 football, that's not a good combo.
One of the fastest guys on the team. F'ed up one punt, they bury him.Tyler Hayek needs to hit the weights. Has the arms of a teenage girl.
Ash will be here and the Hayeks will be in FCS next season. One of the fastest guys on the team. F'ed up one punt, they bury him.
