Our defense has been playing well of late. Our offense is terrible. Gio has played on par with his usual but he doesn’t complete more than 50% of his passes. Defenses play up on us and we can’t run.

I gotta say. I was wrong.

All these incompletions, runs in the middle of the line of scrimmage and punts are riveting.

True "Northeast Big Ten" football at it's best.

This is a spot where the MSU defense tries to make a play and get the ball. They are going to be aggressive.

Gio or Art, the offense is nonexistent either way. Arguing that playing Gio would have mattered is a waste of time. We really don't have a functional quarterback

What calls do some of you guys want McNulty to call. Gio is not a great passer and our receivers are 50/50 at best at catching the ball. That kind of limits the play book. AND, this game may very well be decided by a mistake.

I agree. The line is getting zero push on running plays and our receivers suck. Double or triple tight end sets might be the way to go.

Hey, we're even after three quarters with a more talented team, who was picked to win 9-10 this year. Defense is playing great and offense has at least scored and isn't making tons of mistakes (just the one, really). No question in my mind that we have zero points if AS started and Gio has fired up the whole team with his "hair on fire" play. Yeah, he's not the best passer in the world, but he's made a few nice throws and some really tough runs, against the best running D in college football.

Does anyone feel that RU will win this game?

Me neither. Hope I’m wrong.
Seems like the kind of game where Mich St eventually gets close enough for a field goal which would almost certainly win it, since RU can't do anything on offense.

Given their first attempt, that might be our only hope, lol...

Isn't it irrelevant at this point how many games MSU was expected to win? They are 6-5 and looking like that type of team.
