I've been thinking about this. Most people where abortion is the issue vote every election. GenZ-ers are more pro-life than prior generations. Of course the Dems will clobber this issue until November, but I don't think it moves the needle that much, compared to...

The economy is going to be in recession, inflation will not have stopped, Ukraine and Russia will still be fighting, we might even have boots on the ground by then, global food shortages, etc.

Dems are still going to pay the price for the economy/war.
To say nothing about Bucknuts Brown's wish to abort on the basis of Income and drug history....

If Planned Parenthood is using federal funds to offset the cost of abortions, we have a major issue that needs to be addressed.

My 2nd job coming out of college was selling oral contraceptives. I used to sell to Planned Parenthood. They do more than abort babies and they should separate abortion clinics from their healthcare clinics. And there are other private clinics that do it also.

As far as being overwhelmed...maybe taking responsibility for your own actions should be focused on. The real truth is, abortion is 99% preventable with a little planning. The other 1% is a true medical emergency to save the life of the mother. My wife and I unfortunately fall in that 1% and it was by far the worst thing that has ever happened to us. And every time abortion becomes front and center we are reminded how cruel life can be. Abortion is not sexy, it is not just another thing, and if it is, maybe you are a serial killer.

1. I am pro-choice. But let me explain. I'm against abortion in most cases. Medical problems where death is likely for the mother, or rape/incest of a child, etc. I also think that partial-birth abortions and other late-term abortions (non-medical) are brutal and should never be allowed to be done.

2. The hypocrisy of both sides is what fires me up. On one side, you have a group who preach "my body, my choice"...........WTF am I saying, BOTH sides preach this.....one for abortion and one for vaccines. Yet both sides will take up the opposite side of this argument as long as it fits them and their desires.

It's simple:

Liberals, if you want abortions, then don't force people to take a vaccine that is still in experimental stages and claim its "the right thing" to do for keeping people safe.....even if it may hurt the person who takes it or doesn't actually prevent the spread of the virus.

Conservatives, don't tell people they cannot force you to do something because it's "your body", but then try and dictate medical procedures, like abortion, for people who see it as their only option. (again, before blowing up, see my stance) Where does this stop? Do we charge an expected mother with child abuse or murder if they take drugs or smoke during pregnancy, resulting in a birth of a child that is mentally/physically disabled or stillborn?

I don't care what the Court rules on this. Doesn't change my mind. I also don't care about the leak, because I have learned to expect leaks in today's times. BOTH sides will leak information, especially if it means they could potentially gain political power. It is no coincidence that the leak took place before many primaries.

Good post. Something that’s never discussed and should be are the rights of the father as well. I don’t believe women should be allowed to abort a pregnancy without mutual consent of the father.
My thoughts about the whole situation:

1) the rape clause: if you actually filed a police report and the medical exam is performed and confirms it (or at least doesn’t rule it out) then I’m fine with it. What I’m not fine with is every woman crying rape to get an abortion unchallenged. If you’re raped though… get the morning after pill unless you’re chained to a pipe.

2) incest: every time I’m okay with it and then shooting the father

3) health of the mother: I’m fine with this also. I’d have picked my wife every time instead of letting her die and I don’t care if it’s past 20 weeks or not. Nobody has to agree with me and that’s okay

4) father’s consent: I agree unless it falls into one of the first 3 categories then it’s up to the woman

On one and two. Plan B is the correct choice. But sometimes incest can dominate until childbirth.

Health of the mother. As stated. It's real and will always be available. Dr's have different ways to save the mothers life.

Fathers...will never happen in our lifetime. Men are low life scum.

It's LA. Underachieving sports teams and riots......that's LA.

Next thing you'll tell me is that there was someone shot and killed in Chicago. BREAKING NEWS at 6PM! [thumbsup]

I'm not telling you anything. It happened. Let's see if it continues to happen across the country.

Pretty much where I’m at as well.

Some people in here seem to be mistaken. This is not about the woman's body. It is about the body inside the woman.

For clarification, I'm not supporting those women who go and get an abortion because they were slutting around and got pregnant. Adoption should be the alternative for them.
I knew you were not. I think we pretty much agree on this.

Another decision day is Wednesday. I bet they go through like this for about 4-5 decision days to soften the crowds.

Decision day watch #2. Police presence will be in place, and demonstrators as well. Let's see if today is the day.

Decision day arrives again. There is one more Thursday before the close of this session, so this week it supposedly will be! Decisions will be starting at 10 am, one every 10 minutes until they're done for the day. They release them in the reverse tenure of the justices who wrote the decisions.

Didn't see this coming. This weekend should be crazy. All this just so people dont have to be responsible for there actions. The saddest part is they are not saying you can't legally slaughter your unborn child , they are just saying it's up to the states.

I'm going to guess it's Friday to abate reactions over the weekend.

I'll take it one step farther. They're going to blow through all 13 Thursday and Friday, with Dobbs being the last Friday. Then they're going to get their butts out of town.
Considering the threats it is probably ly best for all employees at the court.
