Using your logic earlier, the statutory rape claim is based on opinion. Right? The law is based on a principle of opinion. Right? And if both child and adult consent, how is it any different than 2 homosexuals? The Bible condemns it. Isn’t that based on a law? Both are mental illness.
The Bible, imo, is based on bs - and shouldn’t have anything to do with our society’s laws. The Bible condemns working on the sabbath and planting two different types of crops side by side.
I don’t think homosexuality is an illness. I don’t think transgender identity is an illness. Why does your opinion have to dictate my choices?
You can argue opinion on determining the age of consent if you’d like - it surely is valid to a point - but it’s clearly a losing argument at a point as well. Maybe those lines get blurred when discussing specific people (some people mature faster than others), but the issue exists in the unhealthy and dangerous imposition of one individual onto another sexually. It’s just not the same argument AT ALL when discussing rights of homosexuals or transgender.
