When is this trickle down stuff going to start trickling down?

My net worth has taken a beating since the tax cuts.......
I mean, I guess you could probably look at job creation, specifically in the manufacturing sector, real wage growth as another, and the U6. That’d probably be the key indicators you were looking for.

I meant me personally. I thought I made that clear when referencing my net worth.

I'll give you job growth unemployment but calling out real wage growth as nonexistent

Is it? Seems I read something the other day that it’s the highest in a decade.

Guy suffered traumatic brain injury when his mother threw him out the window after seeing him for the first time in the hospital. That's why now, there are no windows in nurseries in hospitals.

So true. In fact you won't find one Leftist who's complaining about the tax cuts sending in anything extra, and 99.9% of them kept their "fair share" of the 'crumbs'.

Fact.

Compared to years past?

One of Obama's big issues was the flat or negative wage growth during the recovery. No matter, economist will tell you that 2.9% still sucks. Healthy wage growth fuels economies and we haven't had that for 9 years now. Without looking it up, I think the Fed targets 2-3% above inflation for healthy wage growth

So you’re saying the wage growth we’re seeing is due to inflation? Let’s get these talking points posted for posterity’s sake.

The Left can't make up it's mind about the economy. Six weeks ago before the market corrections, the increasing stock valuations were all because of Obama and the foundation he laid for sustained long term economic growth.

Since the market corrections, Obama hardly gets mentioned anymore, and instead it's Trump's tax cuts and stagnant wage growth that are fueling inflationary pressures, forcing the Fed to raise short term interest rates to avoid another meltdown due to the economy "overheating" (which of course wasn't a problem while it was Obama's economy).

Plus now the Left is all for deficit reductions but hates the tax cuts which have been the primary drivers behind the growth that they were giving Obama credit for but now blame Trump because government doesn't have enough money to run up even more debt we can't afford to pay back.?

Quit being an ***. I didn't say that at all. I am saying that wage growth is barely outpacing inflation. I think you can grasp that a 2.9% growth in wages coupled with a 2.2% inflation rate = .7% growth in real wages. Not what is needed to expand the economy. Wage growth has sucked since the recession. It needs to be better.

@Original Mountaineer1 is more worried about what he sees as a lack of wage growth than an apparent fix from the Left to address it!

I mean he's all over that Democrat plan to keep wages increasing above-inflation you can read the details in the space below:

Work harder. I don't think stock market returns were necessarily thought of as a major factor in trickle down.

I work hard enough thank you.

The reason I don't leave my job at my age is simply because I cannot replace the defined benefit pension annuity that I am accruing now without a massive bump in pay and zero spending increases on my part. Nevertheless, after talking to the heads of HR at several firms, it appears that income increases are largely coming from one-time incentives (sign-on, retention, annual bonuses) vs true wage increases in many industries. In Northern Virginia, techies are jumping from a new firm to a new firm just for the huge sign on bonuses. That isn't healthy wage growth.

The stock market comment I made was 100% sarcasm as many of us have lost quite a bit of net worth in 2018.

I increased both my United Way contribution through my employer and the size of my personal checks to numerous charities in 2018.

Good for you. I'm talking about income taxes though which are not voluntary. The Trump tax cuts you're complaining about and Democrats voted against...how much of that money which you were allowed to keep did you voluntarily send in as additional revenue to pay down our stifling deficits?

I didn't want the tax cut in the first place. But why would I send anything back? Let's leave this Trump debt and a dirtier Trump environment to our lovely grandchildren. You know the babies (both born and unborn) that you claim to care so much about.

Why complain about the tax cuts if you're going to keep the money? If you didn't want the tax cuts why didn't you just pay at the old rate that you owed? Complaining about tax cuts and keeping the money is kind of like hypocrisy wouldn't you say?

Why do you care about the government confiscating taxpayer dollars to pay for cleaner air or to pay down wastful debt for unwanted children who will never be born?

Revenue is about the same as it was prior to tax cuts. Spend less.
