Wasn’t that fish once called a jewfish?

In my opinion, grouper is possibly the tastiest fish.

Redfish, not so much. Even tried it blackened at K-Paul’s.
I read online that yes, the GG is also known as jewfish.

Oh, I love redfish. Not many fish I don't like though

Not many fish I like. Redfish is too fishy for me. Paul told me that it was considered a trash fish for years and that’s why he used the blackening technique.

Sturgeon is also an excellent fish, IMO.

Because their numbers are so low?
Yes. You can’t bring them out of the water because their skeletal structure can’t support their body mass. If you pull them out of the water, you’ll injur them and likely kill them.

My favorite is Wahoo. I like Amberjacks as well. The local fish up here on the bay (Stripers, known here as Rockfish) is one of the better ones I’ve had as well. Makes the best Fish Tacos of all I’ve cooked. Grouper is up there, as is snapper. Corvina makes a great ceviche.
