Hey stills I get likes from all kinds you only get likes from you're Alternate screen names which probably number well above 50 with your Texas accounts.
Well you're not real smart. I have one account and even an idiot like yourself should be able to tell that I am not the Texas troll. He is not very discreet to say the least.

Stills ever since you have been on this site you have had this crusade against trolls which by your definition is probably someone with and opinion that differs from yourself. Its funny you acknowledge the texas guy as a troll but instead of trying to police the board when he posts you seem to give this guy a free pass. Why is that? A troll is a Troll and you yourself just acknowleged that he is one. Does he get a free pass because he views the Big 12 through the same Rose colored glasses that do? Please bless us with your wisdom wise one.

I don't agree with you much, but I will on this one. Its very accurate.
There are many factors that go into the creation of a rival. Its more than just playing someone on a yearly basis. In the pitt/Wvu rival How many wvu fans or grads had a family member that was a pitt fan or pitt grad. Probably quite a few especially in northern wv and western Pa.. How many wvu fans or grads worked with someone that was a pitt fan or grad. Once again probably quite a few. The same dynamic probably existed in the southern part of wv with Va tech. We have none of that now. Playing the big 12 teams make them more of a rival then not playing them but the other factors that develop the rivalry are non existant.

I am not sure who would argue with that. We are not the only ones who lack a natural in conference rival. It is a shame when you think about it but really what choice did we gave?
We didn't have a choice but if we get the opportunity to move to another power 5 conference in the future we should jump on it in a heartbeat.

WVU closest potential rival in the Big12 is like 1000 miles away LOL. Literally! Can we ever have a big boy conversation on here admitting WVU and Pitt are better together than apart?

No choice! Actually Luck I believe did a great job securing a spot for WVU at the P5 table. Just sucks and I’ve always hoped someday, someway WVU and PItt find their way back together. In the meantime the football teams and the basketball teams should never not play each other every year.

The fact that people still get giddy when Pitt loses in Football shows how much the rivalry meant to people. I don't hear eat sh%t Texas or any other big 12 school being mentioned.

When we 1st starting playing in the big 12 in football it felt like playing in bowl games. Now that novelty has worn off. Kinda like going to the Gator bowl it was fun at 1st but got old after time.

Comical when I go to WVU games and every single time people scream Eat Shi! Pitt. Then the same morons claim they care less about Pitt and also WVU doesn’t need to play Pitt to have a rival. Aaahahahaha!

If wvu left the Big 12 for any other power conference excluding the pac 12 no one would even think about the Big 12 five years later.

Big12 homers haha. Got to love them. Fake News on the Playoff comment homer. OU is Big12s one trick pony. WVU, Texas and Kstate aren’t even close to Top 4. You literally embarrassed yourself as well as your entire family. TCU and Okie State are solid but not Top 4. In a given year Central Florida can make the Playoff so that’s what you’re clinging to haha.

Oh by the way........any word on that extended GOR? You still waiting on ND to accept their invitation to join the Big12? When’s the Big12 Network launch?

Click your heels 3 times and go back to Kansas goofball.
Yeah because Texas isn't a Blueblood or anything.

Greg is a moron for this comment related to Texas “not even close to top 4”.

Texas is more a blue blood than anything in his ACC basketball conference. No one in the Big 12 even respected the ACC for more than a b-ball conference until FSU won a title in 2013 and FINALLY they are relevant on the football side, plus Clemson’s rise in the last 5 years. But, Dabo will leave for Bama when Saban retires and guarantee you Taggart fails at FSU - so the reversion to the mean always happens. ACC has Miami now but they haven’t done sh** since switching from the Big East 15 years ago.

Meanwhile, Big 12 will outperform the ACC in football For the next 10 years with natty count because it has actual top 6 all time football blue bloods in Oklahoma and Texas.

It is a Blueblood obviously and will be a top ten program again with the right hire. But they suck now and have sucked for awhile so what’s the harm in abusing a geek Texass geek fan?

There are a known 7 blue bloods, with Nebraska being the 8th that is outside looking in right now due to gap in performance.

Downcycles happen moron. But the brand name never dissipates.

Alabama 2000-2006
Oklahoma 1995-1998
USC 90’s and early 2010’s post Pete Carroll
Michigan early 2010’s
Notre Dame multiple times since Holtz

Texas 2013-2017

But they’re always going to find a way to rebound because of their brand.

No, more was just defending your comment they have no Chance to make a playoff. Herman has a better shot than any first or second year coach in the country in 2018. And it’s Texas. There’s a mentality in Austin to be in a NY6 bowl or better or it’s a very bad season. Very few places have that expectation.

Next year moron!!! Baaaahahahaha! Look at this moron boys. You’re delusional and an idiot. Herman probably get UT back to top 10 over the next two or three years but only homer idiots like you ignore the fact that Texass has sucked the life out of the Big12 in many ways.

Those down cycles were due to coaching changes more than anything.

Alabama 4 coaches between 2000-2006
OU 3 coaches fron 1989 - 1998
USC 3 coaches from 1993 - 2000 (even post Carroll USC was 73-30)
Michigan 2 coaches from 2008 - 2014 with combined record of 45-42
Notre Dame 6 coaches from 1997 to now.
Texas down cycle was from 1987 until 1997 with 3 coaches after Darrell Royal. Fred Akers was pretty decent 86-31 The 2 coaches after Akers total was 72-55.

Brown was 30-21 from 2010-2013 Charlie Strong destroyed the program 2014-2016 going 16-21

“Look at this moron boys”...you think these guys on this board claim you?

You slam the XII on every other board like a madman (the conference that is making WVU a rich school right now), picking out every thread on the other boards with precision to berate it. I’d be very surprised to see WVU nation, who is a good group of people with respect that I’ve grown to like, claim an offensive d-bag like yourself.

Go push paper in your office now and get your boss’ coffee.

You missed the memo moron. I’m the boss haha. I post independently of all influences. I’m the opposite of a homer. I call out idiots like you without remorse. Listen up punk! WVU landed in Big12 because Texass made sure Big12 was last to the party. If Texass wasn’t such **** Louisville would be in Big12 and WVU would be in the ACC where they belong with their traditional partners.

Or Cincy and Houston or a Florida school still join as a traveling partner for WVU.

Texas is the richest school in the country. They don’t care about the opinion of an irrelevant Pitt fan.
Pitt is a doormat these days and will never return to anything of relevance. Jamie Dixon is the in the Big 12 now.

Big Ten added two doormats and the ACC strengthened their hoops but watered down their football in the latest expansion. 10 Good teams with potential in both sports is better than 12-14 with 5-6 sucking a**.

The last Big 12 format and teams was ideal (no one wanted the change that I know personally - at any of those schools that left except some Mizzou idiots) and what we all preferred, but we can thank Mizzou for starting that sh**storm. But mizzou will always be the most delusional fan base in the country so didn’t really surprise me.

Having said that, very happy with TCU and WVU as they’ve outperformed the 4 exited members combined in both major sports since the split. However, I’d take NU and A&M back in a heartbeat. Mizzou and CU can jump off a cliff.

Instead of Rivals at least the fans will have an Us Against the World Attitude. Sort of a natural feeling if you grew up in WEST VIRGINIA. The odds are stacked against us, we have long travel schedules, it is hard to get to away games... and most of the world thinks that WVU is a terrible school and that the state is full of inbred hillbillies. Who needs a rival when you have the whole conference stacked against you?!

Having faith is one thing, but blind faith can turn sports fandom into an unhealthy obsession of monster-sized proportions.

The Longhorns haven’t won a conference title since Colt McCoy was the team’s quarterback.

Texas fallacy it’s a belief, rooted in media laziness, that Texas was better than it actually was. But dive into the record book’s recent history and you learn something astounding despite all the money Texas athletics make the Longhorns don’t actually win very much.

How many national titles the football or men’s basketball team has won in the past 45 years?

One. One title!

I’m not a graduate of Texas - look at my handle. Just have family in Austin that has attended or attends there.

They have 4 natties since 1963. Tied with ND and 3 more than Michigan. They’re still a powerhouse with the right coach, and only fellow blue bloods can claim that feat. You take Dabo out of Clemson or Petersen out of U Dub, they’re bankrupt.

Also, Texas 2006 was the greatest CFB team of this century - maybe of all time.
