Several reasons but to name a Few:

-record revenue by conference booked in 2017

-beat postseason record of all conferences over last two years

-Red River will carry national implications again a la 2000’s for next 10-15 years under Herman and Riley

-overall talent level trending back up: OU hasn’t had 3 straight top ten classes since 2002-2004, doing it again here 2017-2019 (2019 already a lock for one). Texas put in a top 5 class for the first time since at least 2013 under Mack. Prob 2000’s. TCU, Baylor, Pokes, and WVU all averaging top 30 classes.

-Draft: Draft picks were well better in 2018 than 2017. Will continue to trend to 25-30 annually for next few years.

-competing in the playoff with OU and now TCU, WVA, Texas, Okie State, K-State all can get there in any given year beside just OU.

Big 12 is a great conference. Oklahoma got fluke loss but was best team in college football. Baker Mayfield was #1 pick. When Texas quickly gets back to top 5-10 status soon with Herman coaching the Big 12 will be talk of country. Big 12 basketball just had 4 teams in sweet 16. More than any other conference.

Big12 homers haha. Got to love them. Fake News on the Playoff comment homer. OU is Big12s one trick pony. WVU, Texas and Kstate aren’t even close to Top 4. You literally embarrassed yourself as well as your entire family. TCU and Okie State are solid but not Top 4. In a given year Central Florida can make the Playoff so that’s what you’re clinging to haha.

Oh by the way........any word on that extended GOR? You still waiting on ND to accept their invitation to join the Big12? When’s the Big12 Network launch?

Wait I thought Bama beat the team that beat Oklahoma and won the National Title. In hoops Big12s best team by far got mauled and KState was humiliated by a high school team(so it seemed). I guess Titles don’t mean anything to the homer brigade.

Ya I didn’t even get to basketball. We’re going to give the ACC all they can handle for a while. Big East is good too but def the top two right now are B12 and ACC. ACC being #1.

You claim 3 teams - one being WVU supposedly. Yet you trounce in the first chance you get anything to do with the Big 12.

I don’t buy it and think you’re just a plain paper pushing d bag with nothing better to do in life then to rip the big 12. So sad!

Nebraska or Mizzou guy me thinks...good luck with that.

steal a Louisville or a bigger (disgruntled) brand from ACC or even the Arizona schools has rumors swirling on them they want out of the PAC.

1) He was going to follow his Lake Travis QB to Ohio State 80-90% anyways. My little brother is the QB’s best bud. Both my brothers went/go there and have a pulse on all things LT.

2) yes Texas has always done the least with the most forever. This goes back decades. Top 5 recruiting classes every year under Mack Brown and only one nat’l title he got in his 16 (?) years at Texas. Charlie Strong was doomed from the beginning with the Red Mccoombs curse. Herman will get it done.

3) none of this changes the Big 12 is trending up overall in both major sports and that Greg Jacobs is a tool bag.

Not to take up for the Texas troll, but the BE had 2 #1 seeds and even though Xavier flamed out this year they have been in a few elite eights over the last several years. They certainly showed better than the ACC this year.

Not really 5-0. Look at NCAAs recently and you’ll see Big East underachieves. I actually agree that the ACC has underachieved the last two years. But ACC expectation is very high. Three years ago NCAAs were an ACC block party if I remember correctly. Lost in Final to Big East one trick pony on buzzer beater. ACC won Natty two NCAAs ago but didn’t perform well early and this year was kinda blah not great. So saying Big East was better than ACC is not accurate.
