Anyone have a picture of Chris Christie sobbing in his stack of pancakes over this pick? He's sucked and sucked up to Trump the past 3-4 months......
Yeah, the official "GoFor" to the President.......Trump: "Hey fat man, go get my shoes"........:joy:.....Christie: "yes sir, yes sir....."
Considering Christie is from the same part of the country as Trump and also since he's very overweight I don't think he had a realistic chance. (Sad but true that looks count.)

Maybe Newt knows now a little of how his wife must have felt when he asked for a divorce when she was in the hospital being treated for cancer.

He signed one of those "religious freedoms" laws and then immediately backtracked it after businesses protested. I guess this is Trump trying to win over the social conservatives.

He Hasn't won over Tony Perkins head of the Family Research Council. Perkins says he will not support Pence because he amended Indiana's "Religious Freedom Act" after pressure from business leaders. Interested to see if other social conservatives react like Perkins.

They cancelled the event due to the tragedy in Nice, trying not to steal major air time away from that on the news. I think that was actually a classy move. I believe the simple release like that is fine, and they'll do an event later. Pence had until this morning to withdraw from the gubernatorial race in Indiana. Apparently, they have rules that won't let him run for both offices at the same time - a good rule in my opinion.
When he puts on that tinfoil hat when he's around right-wingers, he (IMO) comes off as pretty moronic. When he's simply assessing the current situation as part of a less than pure political bent/partisan discussion, I find him fairly compelling.
Meanwhile, I myself have most recently been thinking of him more as an eventual Senior Adviser to a President Trump.....maybe even a Chief Of Staff-type..... than his next in line.

I said a week or so ago it would be a mistake to announce s vp pick outside of the convention and you can see why after the past two days. With the terror in France and the coup in Turkey dominating the news, Trump has been put on the sidelines. Now, announcing Pence as a running mate will add basically zero new votes for the ticket so it doesn't matter in reality since Trump's campaign is so unique but I am sure they would have liked to had won the news cycle with a positive announcement.
