If Trump wins, he'll reward Christie with a position.Anyone have a picture of Chris Christie sobbing in his stack of pancakes over this pick? He's sucked and sucked up to Trump the past 3-4 months......

I think Newt is too old...I think he can offer Trump some good advice, but I didn't like him as a VP pick.Considering Christie is from the same part of the country as Trump and also since he's very overweight I don't think he had a realistic chance. (Sad but true that looks count.)
And I don't think Newt had a chance either. Is it just me or is Newt very unappealing, as we as very old and very white?
Still waiting on a major new outlet (CNN/Fox) to report it. I always knew that we had true insiders here.I don't know a whole lot about him
He signed one of those "religious freedoms" laws and then immediately backtracked it after businesses protested. I guess this is Trump trying to win over the social conservatives.I don't know a whole lot about him
Does the NY Times count?Still waiting on a major new outlet (CNN/Fox) to report it. I always knew that we had true insiders here.
I finally saw it on CBS first but it took a while.Does the NY Times count?
Donald J. Trump’s campaign has signaled strongly to Republicans in Washington that he will pick Mike Pence, the governor of Indiana, as his running mate, though Republicans caution the party’s mercurial presidential candidate may still backtrack on his apparent choice.
Mr. Trump’s advisers have told national Republican officials that they are preparing to make an announcement with Mr. Pence, according to three people with knowledge of the conversations, who were not authorized to discuss them publicly. His campaign has said that it will unveil a running mate for Mr. Trump in New York on Friday.
Mr. Pence, a former congressman and radio host, emerged over the last week as the strong favorite of Mr. Trump’s political advisers and senior officials in the Republican Party.
A simple apology is all it takes.I finally saw it on CBS first but it took a while.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.A simple apology is all it takes.
He's the best pick of the three. Of course, the other two are absolute morons.
Rog is all over this story, I'm sure he'll update us soon.If it's done deal, then why am I reading on USA Today that Trump has said "no decision has been made"?
As soon as your mom stops blowing me I'll get around to giving an updateRog is all over this story, I'm sure he'll update us soon.

He Hasn't won over Tony Perkins head of the Family Research Council. Perkins says he will not support Pence because he amended Indiana's "Religious Freedom Act" after pressure from business leaders. Interested to see if other social conservatives react like Perkins. He signed one of those "religious freedoms" laws and then immediately backtracked it after businesses protested. I guess this is Trump trying to win over the social conservatives.
They cancelled the event due to the tragedy in Nice, trying not to steal major air time away from that on the news. I think that was actually a classy move. I believe the simple release like that is fine, and they'll do an event later. Pence had until this morning to withdraw from the gubernatorial race in Indiana. Apparently, they have rules that won't let him run for both offices at the same time - a good rule in my opinion. But the story this morning was no announcement would be made today because of what happened yesterday in France.
??????
And the media knew before Pence actually knew.
??????
Dumbass can't even make a VP selection without phucking it up.

Newt's far from a moron. You may disagree with his politics, but he's probably the most qualified from a political standpoint than any of them.
As soon as your mom stops blowing me I'll get around to giving an update
nah not really...using a "your mom was blowing me" retort was a bit much?Jeez rog, that little shot from moe bothered you that much ???

Oh so true. LOL!I mean with some around here, you simply disagree with them.....and it results in the respondent's use of the word ********** more than most would think is possible in a 3 or 4 line paragraph.
When he puts on that tinfoil hat when he's around right-wingers, he (IMO) comes off as pretty moronic. When he's simply assessing the current situation as part of a less than pure political bent/partisan discussion, I find him fairly compelling.
Meanwhile, I myself have most recently been thinking of him more as an eventual Senior Adviser to a President Trump.....maybe even a Chief Of Staff-type..... than his next in line.
