Comparing their W/L is so dumb and lazy. Look at who they played.

2022: Chubba didn't start vs Illinois. He came in after we were down 20-9.

Minnesota, lost the game. Did nothing after our first 2 possessions.

Michigan, got hurt right before halftime I think, but it wouldn't have mattered.

2023: NIU & LT, easy opponents.

Michigan, same result as Purdy did in 2022.

Illinois, not a good team.
2022 Illinois team >>>> 2023 Illinois team.

NW & Purdue, both bad.

Michigan St, not a good team to lose to. 3 turnovers I believe (he was lucky to not alhave a 4th in the endzone right before half).

Maryland, HH was clearly hurt. He couldn't do anything.

If you flip the games HH and Purdy played, the results are most likely the same. Only possible outcome difference could've been 2023 Michigan St & Maryland.
I have to agree with this.

Purdy played the best game of the season of any QB against a decent defense. He scored 17 which would have beaten EVERY team that Haarberg beat. Every. Single. One.

One could argue that had Purdy played against Mich State and had less than 3 TOs (like HH) that we prob win. All speculative of course.

But every single set of eyes here
1. Acknowledged that Haarberg was better than Simms
2. Gave kudos to Kong for it.
3. Sees Purdy as the better QB

Kong is literally the only one here that is on the HH wagon after a more complete set of data is out. He literally ignores the fact that Haarberg has more turnovers than any QB in the entire nation. He covers that up by saying “but he wins”.

It’s like you’re trying to get the least amount of people to take you seriously. You can’t actually be so dense to think people will just forget your ridiculous crusade both FOR HH and AGAINST “noodle arm weak loser” Chubba Purdy.

You’re trying to rewrite history again and you’re dumb enough to steeply underestimate these people’s ability to easily see it. The jig is up
Nope

After Chubba was announced the starter I took the iowa ML tomorrow and have posted it here

The fact you losers want HH’s time to be done is laughable to me.

Enjoy the losses Bill

The game of purdys life produced 17 points

I don’t ignore anything, including the fact you are clueless. You, meanwhile, ignore purdys career long body of work and consider last week his base line instead of a huge outlier, which is what it was. Except for the result, of course, which was par.

The difference between wins and losses is razor thin when your team sucks and your coaching staff is second guessing itself.

Not everything shows up in the stat sheet. Like being scared to death of contact so you run out of bounds a yard short of the sticks.

Don’t know why you guys engage kong… he will never. Ever. EVER. stop with the “I’m the smartest guy in the room” bit. It’s actually comical.

No one here will ever be able to win an argument against him because he will not allow it. He always has an answer.

Its called objectivity. The other thing that gets thrown up is HH actually winning a game, he is a winner, a grinder, etc. Can't deny that. But I would also have to consider who he played in the games we won.

He produced more in his one start than HH has all year.....

After reading a lot of the comments I came to several conclusions.
Injuries have bled this program dry.
Talent 1st string to 1st string on every program except Michigan. Nebraska main problem is talent after 1st string vs other programs was less especially when you figure in the Injuries.
Arguing about which QB is better is pointless.
The only way out of this is build better talent and depth.
Yes QB has been part of it yet main culprit was OLINE and it being not good enough and not enough depth.
Just my Opinion

Why don’t I see you or the other Purdy Pals in the predictions thread confidently calling a Chubba led victory today?

(Just kidding. I know why)

Purdy produced 274 yards of offense in his lone start this year, more than HH in any start. HH had a best 264 yards playing the JV squad LA Tech. Those are facts.......

Yards are cool

Points and wins are cooler

What’s your prediction for todays game?

My prediction is the team has a hell of alot better chance of winning with Purdy as opposed to the turnover machine you have a major crush on....

Do we win? Score?

Keep on and I'll smack you down with some more facts that debunk the ******** you spewed for weeks on HH carrying the team with his 80 to 100% of the teams output.

I will say Purdy might be real tired after producing 75% of the offense last week and producing 100% of the TDs. See how fun this stupid billshit is...

All those yards sure have you confident

With the obvious disagreement & argument ensuing, why don’t Kong & someone else make a wager if Kong is so confident that Nebraska will lose?

How about, if Nebraska wins, Kong can’t post until after the season?
And since a Nebraska win would equal a Bowl game, that would be January time frame before Kong could post again.

And then Kong could name his terms in return.

I haven’t seen anyone - myself included - say anything about “not as good”.

Just that one is a winner and the other is not.

Intangibles matter. A lot.

Getting that extra yard instead of running out of bounds short when your punter is *** matters. A lot.

Our career under .500 head coach even used the term “winner” to describe one and not the other publicly.

Not sure why that’s so hard for so many to grasp. It’s extremely straightforward.
Is that extra yard worth it when you’re too banged up to play after 6 games and half of those games you weren’t playing anywhere near 100% speed anymore

I like both QBs. HH was awesome but raw. I still need to see more of Purdy but I think he can game, just only saw him play well once. Need more data. Today will probably not be easy but if it is, go Brock!

Go ahead and find my predictions from the previous weeks. I stopped doing those at the first of the season and nothing is changing that....
I’m sure you’ll be back in hindsight saying you knew it all along if we win

And back with a full arsenal of excuses if we lose

There you go Kong…

That’s a prediction to wager against.

Johnny put it on record. Double digit win.

Wager time.
Hey the Notre Dame fan!

Did your Husker fan father allow you in the house for Thanksgiving despite the immense shame you’ve caused him?

Hopefully HH comes in at TE today for some trick plays and route running.. he may not throw the greatest, but he’s fast and can catch.

I would not make a wager that would result in the board being deprived of kongs or my presence. Just wouldn't be fair to the rest of you.
