So it's us and Georgia Tech battling for top honors here?
That solves the mystery as to where Sims got his strong foundation in regards to ball security.
Get those tacos ready son.Nah, it was on point and definitely stuck a nerve. Poor you, taking it hard.

so forgo the practices during the season to run a gimped version of the offense to make a bowl game to then flip it to the "real" offense you want to run?I really dislike this quote from HCMR:
"If we keep it simple, we're not going to be a competitive team at the highest level"
You know what will help you become competitive at the highest level? Not missing out on 15 extra practices and a game at the end of the year!!! Run the dang ball 3 times on 1st and G at the 5, either score a TD or kick a FG, and make Maryland try to drive the field with 2+ mins left with 80K+ fans screaming. You have to get to a bowl game, period!! If your OC isn't smart enough to make the simple (CORRECT) calls when needed, you need to move on to a better OC who has common sense. There will always be second guessing of coaches, but you can't teach someone common sense.
and those place are top 10 teams with amazing athletesnobody expects Satt to be fired
I am simply answering Rhule's pompous question of "where has that worked?" with a fact-based "lots and lots of places"
#14 - Appalachian Stand those place are top 10 teams with amazing athletes
we were talking about top 8 offenses of 2023. Now we are including G5 teams?#14 - Appalachian St
#16 - USF
the list for 1st year OCs who've performed better than Satt goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on
**takes breath**
and on and on and on and on and on and on
App st has the #14 offense in the countryyou were talking about top 8 offenses of 2023. Now we are including G5 teams?
they play in G5App st has the #14 offense in the country
USF has the #16 offense in the country
so?they play in G5
Was Tim Beck an amazing OC?so?
both were *** last year on offense then canned their underperforming OCs
now they're in the top 20
are you suggesting our offense would be in the top 20 if we played in the sun belt instead of against our schedule, which contains exactly 2 teams over .500?
tim beck's resume runs laps around satterfield'sWas Tim Beck an amazing OC?
His first year as an OC he took 2009 offence ranked at 75 to 38 in 2010.
It had everything to do with talent acquisition in Tim's case.
was the reason for Nebraska's jump in 2010 due mostly to Tim Beck?tim beck's resume runs laps around satterfield's

and if you don't make the bowl game with the new cutdown offense? You just wasted weeks worth of practices for the future. In this case, yes.
Do what you have to do to get 15 more practices.
It was 3 goal line plays, had nothing to do with wasting anything, and had potential to gain 15 more practices in which to instill “culture”.and if you don't make the bowl game with the new cutdown offense? You just wasted weeks worth of practices for the future.
Beck like all of our OC’s was unjustly maligned. The guy could recruit too. I still think he’ll be a good head coach. Coastal is giving him a shot. Was Tim Beck an amazing OC?

That is a separate issue and I can see both sides of the argument. Hindsight is easy to say we should have done X.It was 3 goal line plays, had nothing to do with wasting anything, and had potential to gain 15 more practices in which to instill “culture”.
What seemed wasted was an opportunity to take points, the lead, and let our defense play.
We disagree on this, and likely neither of us will change our opinion much.
Go Big Red!
I agree. My overall point was that things are never black and white.Beck line all of our OC’s was unjustly maligned. The guy could recruit too. I still think he’ll be a good head coach. Coastal is giving him a shot.
I doubt it, but hey keep the front up buddy.Nah, got a few other things to do. Good luck getting your tacos though.
Poor you. You just can't catch a break
I was thinking about that as I was driving into work.Beck wasn't the OC until 2011.
What front? I don't have time to get you tacos. I wish you all the luck in the world in your quest for tacos.I doubt it, but hey keep the front up buddy.
Sounds ridiculous. And it's actually a great idea. Why the hell not at this point? It feels like our QBs regress as the game goes along. We should play all 3 (HH, Sims, Purdy), but rotate them every 3 plays to 2 series max.
It's totally ridiculous. But it just feels like that's where we're at.Sounds ridiculous. And it's actually a great idea. Why the hell not at this point?
Because that's about their average. Why do you think Wisconsin will likely score at least 20 points?
Because that's about their average.
Quarterback is hurt. Game overIs Longval going to be on the travelling roster? If Purdy gets hurt and Sims keeps turning the ball over are the Huskers just going to pack-up and go home?
Doesn’t sound like Longval is going. Haarberg can hand off and pass apparently. Just can’t run.Is Longval going to be on the travelling roster? If Purdy gets hurt and Sims keeps turning the ball over are the Huskers just going to pack-up and go home?
Yeah, Scott Frost and his offensive coordinator looked like “national champions” in G5they play in G5
I don't think he's been able to turn in a full practice yet this week. They must not have much confidence in Haarberg being able to play to take Longval.
I don't care if it's HH, LL or the fvcking water boy. Don't turn the damn ball over and win the game!! GBR!!They must not have much confidence in Haarberg being able to play to take Longval.
He hasn’t they’ve been reporting that Purdy and Sims have been taking the majority of snaps..I don't think he's been able to turn in a full practice yet this week.
