Sad to say but I don't think motivation is really going to play a part in the game. It basically comes down to can we handcuff our offense enough to avoid turnovers at the QB position yet still score some points. Sadly, I don't think that will be possible against Wisconsin as they will likely score at least 20.

If Purdy is splitting reps on Tuesday, he can play Saturday. Given Chubba a game to prove himself.

Why do you think Wisconsin will likely score at least 20 points?

Purdy is a 22 year old sophomore - graduated in 2020. He got the free covid year in 2020, used redshirt in 2021, was a rFR in 2022, and is a rSo now. Why would the 4 game matter for him? One of those was a medical redshirt??

I will be relieved when the stupid covid year is over. Makes looking at rosters confusing

I really believe that if we even get slightly below average qb play with limited turnovers, this is an easy win.

This is BY FAR (at least in my own head) the worst WI team in recent memory. we can and should win if we just play average on O. Our D will handle them. We just need 2 TDs and a couple field goals.

He can potentially get a medical redshirt as well.

I actually had the thought today that they could put Sims in there just for one series and only run the ball. No passing. No matter what. Then I remembered that he turns the wrong way on 25% of our running plays....
It feels like our QBs regress as the game goes along. We should play all 3 (HH, Sims, Purdy), but rotate them every 3 plays to 2 series max.

HH won’t be useful with his injury. He’s had to just be too much of a battering ram to gain yards. Purdy has technically been hurt all year with a groin (that might need surgery?) but it apparently is not detrimental to performance.

If you watched Satt’s presser, he was never more excited than when he talked about Purdy and what he did on that drive. Said he did things Satt hadn’t seen him do in practice. I think Purdy will start on Saturday.
