I literally responded to a poster who brought up the West. He specifically mentioned Iowa and Wisconsin. It’s post #41 in case you missed it.

What do you guys see as Nebraska’s big advantage over other schools in the west?
Nebraska is a national brand. literally every person in the country knows Nebraska Football.

iowa/wisc aren't and never will be. nobody cares about you, nor should they. you've provided zero reason in your histories for people to even notice your existence.

like all iowa fans, you have surely been cucked by NU Football hard enough for your entire life to realize this fact remains despite our recent lack of success.

then again, since you're a moron from iowa, you probably don't get out much.

Well maybe I have the wrong guy 👦
You’ve got the right guy. I’ve had compliments like yours come up for years. The same old guys see red (no pun intended) when they see my screen name. Fortunately, there are plenty of posters that enjoy good convo as much as I do. Of course, I can be a homer at times, but always try and post facts to bring my half of the conversation.

So you called me dishonest for not saying the word “senior”, then you come and say “literally every person in the country”.

Viewership numbers paint a different picture. 2015-2019 Iowa and Nebraska were neck and neck in viewership in regular season games with data. Wisconsin outviewed both Iowa and Nebraska by a good margin. Nebraska got a decent bump from playing the most viewed team each of those seasons. Obviously, Nebraska not winning draws those numbers down a bit as well.

Last year, however, Nebraska saw a big bump from the numbers above. Like I said in another post. This is explained by Nebraska playing 5 of the top 11 overall viewed teams. Iowa played 2, with Nebraska being number 12.

I wish they listed the number of games they counted as zero for each team. But I doubt the Big Ten had many, if any.

Nebraska being the 12th most watched program in the country while being 15-29 the last 4 seasons is very impressive. would think they could easily climb into the top 10 if that record was reversed to 29-15.

2015-2019 going 28-34 and being neck and neck with likes of Miami, TCU, Oregon, Iowa, Okie State, and crushing teams like Iowa State, K-State, Purdue, Missouri, Colorado, Minnesota actually makes me feel a lot better about the national perspective of our very below mediocre football program as of late.

I said literally every person in America knows of Nebraska Football (an undeniable fact), not tunes in for every game

asking an iowegian to do anything with their brain never fails to disappoint. what a bunch of idiots.

@SWIowahawks as a little experiment, ask every one of your inbred family members out slopping around in the hog pen you rent if they have ever heard of Nebraska Football.

I guarantee 100% of them will say yes.

iowa is best known for hosting the first presidential primary every 4 years. most Americans are surprised to hear there are even schools there, much less sports.

iowa’s national reputation is considerably less than things like daylight savings, which actually comes up in polite conversation every now and again.

Well there's the evidence of scheduling inequality. Also why division champ should only be determined by division record because not everyone plays an equal schedule. PLUS we normally draw the 11 am game. TV execs know what they're doing and the value 👌

Since 2018 we have never won more than 2 divisional games in a season and the last 2 seasons we have only managed a single divisional win -

our big ten west winning percentage since 2018 is 0.26

the problem isn’t scheduling inequality.

In the worst division in football.

We have been screwed on the schedule since we came into this conference.

No one says anything about it.

I am going to dissent somewhat from this. Yes, we have been handed a tougher schedule since joining the B1G than any other team in our division. We can ascribe this to an anti-Nebraska bias ... OR ... we can ascribe it to the fact that one of the reasons the B1G jumped at the chance to bring us in is precisely because we are the blue blood program that everyone in this thread is thumping their chests about. The B1G saw a chance to add a team with a national brand to the league and then proceeded to schedule that team against the other national brand names in the league. Ratings baby, ratings. We then, of course, proceeded to piss down our own legs and to fall into our current sad state. But the B1G wants and needs us to return to form and anyone on here who thinks that the B1G brass do not want that is smoking something.

Instead of complaining about our schedule, how about we start winning most of those games again. How about we really recover that old Nebraska attitude that we are indeed an elite team who is unafraid to play other elite teams.

Because complaining about that fact isn't really important.

Complaining about our schedule is like someone spending taking time to point out they have something in their eye while simultaneously shoving their leg into a running wood chipper.

So the conference doesn't meet and we can't bring it up.

Cause you arent going to win most of your games consistently playing all the best teams in the conference while others dont. While winning the division. .

Thats just an unrealistic expectation for anyone in the conference not named Ohio St.

Best you can say is they didnt think we would be dumb enough for firing winning coaches.

I disagree. Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State all have to play each other every year. And if we were in that division so would we. Sure Iowa seems to get away every year with much easier schedules. And that does indeed put us at a disadvantage. I say: suck it up, recruit better than Iowa, coach better than Iowa and play better than Iowa. And if we do that I would wager we win the division more often than they do because it is not as if Iowa never plays any of the big boys at all. I am tired of the whining. NU football needs to return to elite status or it needs to just admit that it is on the same level as Iowa and to petition the B1G to give us easier schedules. But you can't come on here and call every Iowa fan who posts here a delusional douche bag from a lesser program and then turn around and complain, "oh poor us, we get all the hard games and we are no longer able to win them." Some blue blood.

And states with low/no income tax will benefit more. 500k here is not the same as 500k in texas
How many of these kids are reporting income? And how much of this is cash for doing nothing? And if they did report every single penny we're really only talking about $30,000.
