Big Ten Basketball
I know it's fashionable to hate the Hawkeyes, but at least they get up and down the court and know how to put the ball in the hole.

Illinois-Indiana was an absolute shitfest. Last made FG by either team was with 2:55 left.

cannot wait to fade the B1G yet again this year

a postseason tradition unlike any other!
Stop lying. These non-stop anti-Big-Ten lies are annoying. FAR WORSE than anything I or any Iowa fan says on here.

Now for the facts. Yes, the Big Ten was overrated last year. But historically the Big Ten over-performs its seeding more than any other conference. They knock off higher seeded teams more than any other conference.

proof, please

since 2015, the mighty B1G has sent just 3 total teams to the elite eight

but, like I said, it's still a much better hoops conf than football

Creighton might play their way to the 8/9 line which is less than ideal. 10 or 7 please

Creighton.....nice. I had no clue how this game would go....but I didnt expect a 20 point lead...
Crazy part is that Alexander had to sit with 2 fouls before the National Anthem was finished. Thought that would kill the Jays, but they kicked butt without him.

I think Creighton will get in, but I agree with your point. No way did Marquette do that much more out of conference to offset the three head-to-head losses to Creighton.

Might be a Shaka-Smart-the-Media-Darling factor at work here.

Shaka dresses like he's coaching the local after school Boys Club program.

Brad Douchebag screams in the face of a ref and nothing happens. Alonzo Verge gets a T for frowning

Hey SuperDouche, make your FT and you won’t foul out.

Does he think he’s entitled to 6 fouls?

Indy has that place with the deep-fried cheeseburgers. Or as they say in Wisconsin, finger food.

according to actual facts: B1G teams win their first round games (because they're highly over-seeded), then get beat by teams from real hoops conferences (Big East, ACC, SEC, Big 12)

it's all very B1G - win when it matters least & crow about it at home as others cut down the nets

Did you even read the article that you posted? The conference has had a lot of success during the time listed. The only thing you got right was they don’t cut down the net. I’ve casually looked at 17, 18, and 19. Lower seeds beating higher seeds, beating #1 seeds, advancing to elite eight. No where close to the picture you painted.

it's exactly the picture I painted, right down to you crowing about 1st round wins, which the conference has its fair share of

what next? outback bowl banners?

3 elite eight bids in 6 years, despite having the most bites at the apple

Did you read the article you referenced? Simple question. It doesn’t support your narrative. You should have not referenced it in making your argument.

Yes, I did. Did you?

And yes, it does. Very clearly. It states that while the B1G has had the most bids, it has failed to do anything meaningful with them. The vast majority of B1G teams win 2 games MAX in the ncaa tournament.

3 elite eights since 2015, no champions in 20 years. Again, this is despite having the most chances to get there.

how do you possibly derive ‘success’ from those facts? Unless you measure success differently than every human on earth, you cannot.

B1G, as laid out clearly by historical performance, is the most overrated conference in the country.

oh, and before you and that braindead weirdo Minn fan reference the ‘7-0 as a 7-seed or lower’ stat as some triumph, the B1G team was favored in 4 of those games.

when @TheWayITellEm agrees with you, you can be sure you’ve ventured too far down retard road

You should never use the word retard. You obviously have no ability to comprehend simple English.

Have fun crumpling up your B1G-heavy bracket on the 2nd Friday of the tourney for the 21st straight year!
So ... following your logic

1. The BIG is a **** basketball conference
2. We can't compete in said **** conference
3. So, what does that say about our program and why does this make you feel good bashing the conference? It only makes us look even worse than we already do.

I don't understand where you are going with this other than, in a backhanded way, you are bashing our program without appearing to bash it? Is that the goal here?

The B1G is a perfectly middle-of-the-road major basketball conference, and we have a historically terrible program.

simple, basic facts seem to really upset B1G fans for some reason.

Big 10 last year had one of their best seasons and only Michigan did anything..( Elite 8)
Maybe this year since their not as good as a conference ( 8 teams) and won’t be seated as high will end up with more sweet 16 teams..

The fired Fort Lauderdale police chief is reffing this Iowa-Indiana game. Once the Final Four is over, he’ll start looking for a new part-time job - like maybe an astronaut or heart surgeon.
