Let this sink in...Frost has almost lost the same amount of games as Pelini in half the amount of games.

Think about how pathetic that sounds outside of Nebraska. I bet you're proud

So what?

Bo Pelini's trophy case, all time.

Including his time here, his time prior to being here, and his time after getting fired here:

So you are not a fan of Nebraska....you just Anti-Bo. Cut your own nose off to spite your face.

Only in Nebraska....

I mean I’d take 9-4 or 10-4 any day compared to the crap show that’s been going on since his departure. Sometimes I wonder what Bo could have done with those 2015 or 2016 teams, I think those would have been 10-11 win teams with him as HC. Maybe we’re not only cursed by Solich, but by Pelini too. We also haven’t beaten Iowa since he was fired.

Anyway, I still find it puzzling why some people still hate his guts especially with the results we have had since his firing. Some will say “well with Frost at least we ain’t getting blown out”. Well that’s fine I guess if your content with living off of moral victories.

Do I miss Bo? Not at all but I do miss a coach capable of winning 9/10 games a year. As big of an ******* as Bo was said to be it didn't bother me much. Not like I lived with him or had to deal with him daily.

Now if those who worked closely with him felt a way about him I get it. But as a fan for me I couldn't care less. It's like Scott. I don't dislike him or his personality enough for it to bother me. Just win some games ...

The problem for Bo in part was that he was at times just as sh##y to rank and file athletic department employees as he was officials. Tom headed off at least one lawsuit. I don't know if any payments were made to the employee or not but Bo's abusive behavior wasn't limited to the football field. He was an average football coach who didn't deserve to be the head coach at Nebraska. That has nothing to do with whether or not Scott Frost should continue to be the coach at Nebraska. It's two separate issues completely. It's comical to see some Bolievers bragging up his 75% winning percentage. The same people would be calling for his head when he got blown out by Wisconsin year after year.

I’ll add if bozo was such a good coach why didn’t another D1 school hire him for their head coach? And I’m not apologizing for coach frost, I was hoping he could get to job done here but it has become apparent that he’s in over his head also

Because AD's know it is easy to win 9/10 games at NU each season if you are just a slightly average coach?

Lol.

I'd like Nebraska to get back to winning something.

Why you feel the need to service Bo Pelini all the time is strange.

He had his chance here. He won nothing of substance. He's worn out his welcome / has been fired at other stops since his time ended here and is currently unemployed. Either he lost whatever got him the gig at Nebraska or the game has passed him by. His next stop will likely be a linebackers coach in the NFL. Let him go. It's OK to turn the page.

Frost sucking over the last 4 seasons does not in any way lessen Pelini's sucking.

No matter how much Frost sucks it does not make Pelini a better answer due to his own shortcomings. You want Pelini back instead of Frost you are welcoming a different mess altogether and that will still not be the right answer. If you still want Pelini back you are totally unaware of why he was let go.

How many people wanting Bo back are also drunk dialing their ex-girlfriends to come back even though the ex threatened to kill them several times? Time to move on from this abusive relationship.

You're pissing into the wind.

Dude's next reply will probably be shaming all of Husker nation for something about Bill Jennings' win percentage, some other strange non sequitur about some hot dog eating contest 'facts', and again point out that while Pelini won nothing at all here (or anywhere else) that we should all be thankful he graced us with his presence.

Prior to achieving his way to status: 'unemployed'.

That's a fair assessment. Like I said though I wasn't privy to any of this stuff so it didn't have much bearing on my opinion if the man.

I'm not sure I'd call him an average coach though. We can talk about his blowouts etc in big games. But the man did win 9-10 games every year he was at Nebraska. I wouldn't call myself a Boleiver but I can't dismiss his resume while at Nebraska so easily. It's something no other coach since Osborne did.

I do however understand the disdain for the man from those close to the situation. Which I obviously never was. So my view may be a bit "bottom linish". Which again isn't what I would call missing HIM...just the wins.

Some of you have done an amazing job of creating and believing ****. I will give you all credit for that.

Hell, just 6 weeks ago it was about Frost, being drunk at gate 25 in the sex room with a bunch of college girls and his wife filing for divorce and leaving the state.

Now it is back to the old "You guys don't know why Bo was really fired"

Oh wait, remember when Bill Moos was so drunk he could not move and was laying flat on the bar at gate 25?

Some of you guys need to start writing fiction.

At times I do miss Bo. Feel like he had a tough job. Old red AD didn’t give him much support from the outside looking in at the program. He obviously had winning seasons, but man could not get over the hump. Definitely had some talent on the team and got them up most games. Just couldn’t stand the blow outs in bigger games. Guess I prefer Frost one score losses over the blowouts if I had to choose. I dunno though both suck.
The blowouts argument is stupid if you ask me. Frost has just as many blowouts per year, yet he also loses way more games in addition to that. People must have been embarrassed so much the last 4 years that they forgot just how embarrassing those blowout losses were under Frost. 2018 we had the AD and Frost acting like we were going to run through the Big 10 schedule with ease. We proceed to get our **** pushed in by Michigan. The next year things were supposed to be looking up, we even had GameDay show up for the Ohio State game and some analysts were picking us to win. We got obliterated. We also got blown out by the likes of Minnesota and Illinois under Frost. Frost is a much bigger embarrassment then Pelini ever was when it comes to on-the-field results. Whoever says otherwise is delusional. The answer is obvious which results I would take.

I'm also tired of all the close games under Frost with crappy teams, regardless if it's a win or loss. Sure, Pelini lost 1 or 2 blowouts a year, but he blewout even more teams, some of those being very good teams. Until Northwestern this year, Frost hasn't really done that against anyone who wasn't a bottom feeder program.

Exactly!

The way that fans that hate Bo remember things is truly amazing.

I think because those teams were so close but would get blown out in one game, it hurt more. So because it hurt more the crazy fans created this weird mantra that Bo always got blown out and that his wins did not matter and so on.

Bo had some good assistants. Ironically and maybe why we struggled on defense often was that most of them weren't on defense. Sanders while a good DB coach, got terminated for criminal activity involving minors. I would have gladly kept Bo's offensive staff even with the golf coach. Not so much on defense. That house needed cleaned.

Frost has at least one hole on his staff and probably two.

Not super professional if they are leaking ****. :)
The stuff they "leaked" was well known by anybody with any ties to the athletic department and didn't involve their services to the athletic department. It's hardly a leak when literally hundreds of people in Lincoln knew about it. We had cause to fire Bo when Tom was the AD and Tom resisted the temptation. Tom said many times that he didn't like to see assistant coaches lose their jobs in a coaching change. IMO, one of the reasons Tom put up with Bo was some of the Husker assistants on Bo's staff.

You keep saying that some of us are "Bo haters". In my case that isn't true. I just don't think he was the right guy to lead our program. I've said many times that we all have our demons including myself. I think in most instances Bo is in fact a pretty good guy who tries to do the right thing. His anger management issues though IMO made him unsuitable to be our head coach. That is all. I would have put up with the blowouts but not the blowups. The rest of the problems with his defense and assistants could have probably been worked out if he would have played well with others. He didn't. He cut his own sack.

you have an inflated sense of your own intellect, which really puts you at a disadvantage.

I'm sorry you miss squeaking by Indiana and being embarrassed on the national stage repeatedly. personally, I feel like those losses hurt less when expectations are a little lower.

I mean, I just sort of miss winnint 9 and 10 games and being in conference championship games.

But I am one of those weird Husker fans that is more into wins than if I like the coach or not.

You mean winning at all costs, right?

Everyone has a line they draw that will prevent them from supporting a coach. With some it is going bat **** crazy and wetting pants on notional TV. For some other is it child molestation.

But for you, we really aren't sure where that line is are we?

Sweet.

I actually liked Bo Pelini quite a bit. the feeling of hopefulness from 2008-2011 was very real, I genuinely believed we were on a path to start another dynasty. I wasn't bothered by the outbursts, most people who have played football past middle school shouldn't be. the media had an unfair target on him trying to paint him like a villain when he was just a throwback coach, and one who for a number of years had his players ready to run through a brick wall for him.

but then something happened in that Big 10 CCG against Wisconsin that just opened the flood-gates, and it was like a cancer had begun to spread where we would be a completely different team against good competition. got our **** pushed in by UCLA, a year where we had an insanely easy schedule compared to Frosts last few years. Minnesota became unbeatable, Wisconsin set records on us. Frustratingly, we would absolutely dominate lower competition the way the Alabama's and Ohio States do. it felt like the psychology of the team had been fractured and accustomed to just phoning it in against good competition.

who knows, sometimes I wonder if he needed a few years of mediocrity to right the ship, much like Ferentz has been allowed at Iowa. seeing his recent performance quells that notion to an extent.

But I am one of those weird Husker fans that is less into being prison-raped by Wisconsin, no matter if we get a squeaker win against McNeese State.
