I mean I’d take 9-4 or 10-4 any day compared to the crap show that’s been going on since his departure. Sometimes I wonder what Bo could have done with those 2015 or 2016 teams, I think those would have been 10-11 win teams with him as HC. Maybe we’re not only cursed by Solich, but by Pelini too. We also haven’t beaten Iowa since he was fired.

Anyway, I still find it puzzling why some people still hate his guts especially with the results we have had since his firing. Some will say “well with Frost at least we ain’t getting blown out”. Well that’s fine I guess if your content with living off of moral victories.

I miss his fire as a coach. not one of those fans that got their feelings hurt over him yelling a handful of times.

but I really don't miss the feeling of helplessness and impending embarrassment that inevitably ensued against Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Iowa has also been a better team since he was fired, so I'm guessing he would've dropped a number of those were he still here.

the fact that he was so terrible as a DC for LSU last year tells me somewhere along the way he lost his passion, too.

Valid points, I don’t miss the blowouts against OSU or UW. Yes Iowa has become a better team since NU first came to the BIG, but I don’t think we’d be 0-6 since 2014 against the Hawks if he was still here. Not advocating for his return I just feel sometimes like he got the raw end of the stick. That we should really be harboring a grudge against Shawn Eichorst for putting us into the mess we are now.

Yea blame LSU situation on Bo! Never mind the **** show going on in Baton Rouge right now with Orgeron....it's Bo's fault!

Nevermind the 64 scholarship players they had last year due to Covid protocols and NFL sit outs! Yep you are completely UNbiased and it's Bo's fault..

I guess there is missing Bo which I do not and missing his 9 wins which would look pretty good right now.

Absolutely not. He was repeatedly embarrassing. Based on his lack of anything promising since leaving Nebraska, it is fair to say we would have been stuck in mediocrity with him. At least we tried to be better, even though we failed.

Well, he's currently available. And if it's not Bo's fault, who's fault is it?

Last 3 stops:

3) He got canned here.

2) Went back to his hometown, was going to get canned there due to **** defense, so he left for a coordinator position.

1) Didn't make it a year at LSU and got canned due to **** defense.

Seems like nobody wants a defensive coach that can't coach defense.

Pelini is not built for the HC position. He's as thin skinned as the fans were at watching Nebraska get smoked like a pound of bacon 3 or 4 times a year.

Melvin Gordon just scored again.

The Penguins went on sanctions in April for recruiting violations that were made when Bo was the coach..AND... he sucked there.

Melvin Gordon just scored again.

He got fired in near record time as DC at LSU and they did suck hind tit on D.

Melvin Gordon just scored again.

I'd rather reach for something more than settle for that. I'll pass on Bo.

When we long for a guy who since leaving was a below average head coach the next level down and then moved back to an assistant, only to be fired from that - I’d say Nebraska is not only in the gutter, we are certainly scraping the bottom.

woah, woah wait. wasnt this you trying to say LSU couldn't possibly fire Orgeron just a few days ago? now he's caused a **** show?

Our coach couldn't hold Orgeron clipboard!! Yet we pay him $5 million a year to be in the bottom 10% win percentage in all of Power 5 football! Yet you wanna criticize a coach who just won a Natty!
What is his RECORD at LSU?? The job of a HEAD COACH is to hire good assistants and delegate authority and be CEO of the whole program....NOT CALL PLAYS!

When is the last time a National Championship coach called offensive or defensive plays?? Saban, Dabo, Orgeron, Meyer didn't call plays for those titles. Their JOB is to be CEO....something Scott Frost doesn't understand
you're supposed to take the ativan as prescribed

Nebraska never should have hired Bo Pelini.
Eichorst fired him. I'm still convinced (sorta) Eichorst (formerly an assistant AD at Wisconsin) came in hoping to screw Nebraska.

Look at it: Eichorst hires a guy who failed at Oregon State. Oregon State hires Wisconsin guy to replace guy who failed (for many years, mind you) at Oregon State. I'm only semi-serious in that conspiracy theory.

The fact that he fired a coach who averaged 9.5 wins/season is ridiculous. No matter how bad he was at being a crowd-pleaser. Especially so, seeing as where we're at now.

While I agree with this, doesn't this statement apply to nearly every coach, at all levels?
Yes. It's really no different than saying "that coach isn't sh*! without an elite QB".

Well, duh. Most teams aren't good without elite players in key positions.

I don’t miss Bo Pelini’s total lack of respect and appreciation for being the head football coach at Nebraska.

Not sure if I miss him or not but after listening to Comptons podcast with him I have a whole different mindset about the guy that's for sure... kind of opens up ones eyes

''Bo could only with with Billy C's players"
- False, he won 9/10 and finished 1/2 in the division every year but one no matter who was on his team

'Bo could not recruit"
- False. Rex (NFL), David (NFL and probably HOFer), Randy (NFL), Ameer (NFL), SJB (NFL), Haag (NFL), Gomes (NFL?), Prince (NFL, might have been a Bill guy?). I could be wrong on a few of those.

"Bo was always looking to leave"
- True, as all of us are always looking to see if there is something better out there

"Bo was an embarrassment"
- You are a weirdo if anything he did cause you embarrassment

"Bo hated the fans"
- True, coaches hate us, we are annoying

"He always lost big games"
- Not always and you can't have "big games" if you are not winning most of your games.

Ask yourself with this team, what Bo's record would be this year and be honest.

1 loss at best, 2 losses at worst.

We have these debates all the time. The fact is, we haven't had a good coach that didn't have at least one giant issue since Solich was fired. So basically we're debating which bad coach was better than the rest of the bad coaches.

In an industry where even average head coaches with experience almost always get another head coaching gig... none of ours ever do in any meaningful way. Why is that? Sometimes the obvious answer is the right answer.

9-3 here his last year with a win over Iowa in his last game.

When is the last time that happened and WHEN IS THE NEXT TIME THAT WILL HAPPEN??? Do you have a clue??

Oh another one who is proud of losing and being the embarrassment of Blue Blood nation for 7 years straight!

I'm glad I don't run into Nebraska FANatics like you. Since I don't live in Nebraska fans I are pretty smart don't, not naive, not kool aid drinkers and don't have their heads stuck up each other's asses breathing the same air!
