I like it. Does have a little kick being 100 proof. FR Small Batch or Buffalo Trace would be a better bang for the buck IMO.Is this a whiskey?
Agreed. Both of the buffalo trace and FR small batch are giog. I think I like the small batch just a little moreI like it

Speaking of root beer, love it with butterscotch schnapps and heavy whipping cream. Thinking about substituting ice cream next summer. We call them slippery nipples. If I use ice cream I need to come up with a new name. Nippy nipple?? I will have to think about it. Suggestions? As bourbon goes, Buffalo Trace isn't that bad price wise. I just bought a bottle of their Bourbon Cream when I saw it at HyVee. I always keep an eye out for it, tends to be hit or miss around here but it's amazing with root beer, hot cocoa, ice cream, etc.. Can pretty much use it like you would use Irish cream.
Agree. Although, I thought the small batch was OK (its been a while since I’ve had either).Four roses single barrel is one of my favorites. Great bourbon for the price point. I’m not a big fan of their cheaper offering however
Rocks or straight? I think a little ice really brings out the flavor in it.I like it. Has a bit of a kick, but very smooth. I’m pouring a Knob Creek Single Barrel now that is unbelievably smooth for a 120 proof.

Your description makes me feel like a newbie and I probably really am!! I will often have Evan Williams or Canadian Club on ice. Below their price points, I don't even bother. As bourbon goes, Buffalo Trace isn't that bad price wise. I just bought a bottle of their Bourbon Cream when I saw it at HyVee. I have never heard if itJust buy Blanton? Come on man you can not even buy it at the distillery. Tell me where I can go pick Blanton off the shelf and I’ll buy us each one.

Does it make the ladies go "WOO" too?I tell ya, Buffalo Trace ($25) is as good as any $100 bourbon I’ve ever had. I always keep a bottle on my bar.

Canadian club is a blended whiskey and not Bourbon. I won't touch a blend.Your description makes me feel like a newbie and I probably really am!! I will often have Evan Williams or Canadian Club on ice. Below their price points, I don't even bother.

What is your "go-to" for the money?Canadian club is a blended whiskey and not Bourbon. I won't touch a blend.
Evan Williams is a Jack Daniels wanna be. I am not a big fan of the sour mash types. TheyrTh good with coke.
I prefer anything that is smooth on a couple rocks and sometimes with a splash of water if I'm not hydrated
Maker's Mark. You can get 1.75Lfor $45 if you look. What is your "go-to" for the money?

Hey, totally understand. Do your self a favor and get yourself a holiday present. Save your money and don't buy any booze for a couple weeks. Then get your self a jug for the holidays.I guess im cheap... i haven't ever grabbed MM; nor tried it. Budget things...
The only whiskey/Bourbon that I've tried, that has a really big bite would be Blackheart's. Easy to get messed up on it.Eagle rare has a little bit more bite or flavor to it.
Used to drink Walker's Deluxe. It was only$15 and darn good. Quit making it. I have a bottle and my friends are to toast me with it when I croakI guess im cheap... i haven't ever grabbed MM; nor tried it. Budget things...

A great value is Weller. It from the Buffalo Trace line and can be found cheap. Also try to get your hands on Henry McKenna. It can be found for under $30 and has won the best bourbon in the world a year or two ago. What is your "go-to" for the money?
