who knows.
Exactly. I don't fault TG feeling like **** right now, that's understandable. I hope he also understands that nothing is over yet and he could be the guy within a series. One tweaked ankle, busted arm, whatever, and he's out there starting.Better pray Martinez stays healthy
Coach’s have to be disappointed too that he didn’t show up for practice..
I ******* LOVE that when it is done to me...so I might return the favor! While you craddle his balls! lol
Best of luck to Tristan in making a smart decision.
I think it's a poor decision to skip practice at any juncture.
I'm a Crouch fan, he made a bad choice to go home as well, look at how that turned out.
As a pure playing time decision, personally I'd tell him to stay put for the year. You're gonna play at least some at NU this year. If Martinez pops an ACL or develops a habit of chucking it to guys not wearing the N you're gonna play a ton. You'll play zero at any new school you transfer to so why not get on the field.
Agreed....on skipping practice. I also believe it is important to tell a kid face to face that he did not win the job.....especially one that has also worked his a$$ off in a close race.
This is why its important to sign two quarterbacks in every second or third year. Half of all D1 quarterbacks transfer from their LOI school. That means in 4 years you would have only 2 quarterbacks on average. That is if you dont have any walk ons or transfer ins. Too important not to back up your back up.
This is a bad look to go out on for TGeb. All that team first, I’ll have his back if he wins the job talk was all bs. Scott picked the right guy to lead the team.
I was assuming this would be his ineligible year.Because if he leaves now, and goes to a school that hasn't started classes yet, he can use this year as his transfer year. Plenty of schools on the west coast haven't started classes yet.

The situation for Gebbia versus Martinez are completely different. Gebbia has already used his redshirt year. IF Gebbia had been named, Martinez wouldn't have even considered transferring IMO. Gebbia has a tough choice. Somebody out there is in dire need of somebody with his skill set. IF Gebbia leaves and Martinez gets hurt, we're screwed. Bunch looked good in the spring game BUT clearly Frost views him as a significant drop off at QB. After Bunch it's a walk on true freshman QB...then....crickets. Mazour? This is a bad look to go out on for TGeb. All that team first, I’ll have his back if he wins the job talk was all bs. Scott picked the right guy to lead the team.
I’m surprised. Didn’t seem like the type of guy to throw in the towel and abandon his teammates. I do t mean this as criticism, it’s just that he always presented himself as team first and I believe he is, as evidenced by his becoming a good friend to his main competition. I wouldn’t blame him for transferring. But I almost suspect the decision wasn’t handled in the most political way possible, or maybe he thought he outperformed AM and didn’t think the decision was fair. In any case, I am speculating because everything TG has shown about his character up to this point makes this a surprise to me.
