I'm becoming increasingly worried that Calipari has done A LOT of damage to the reputation of the Kentucky program, has created a culture of OAD that will be very difficult to break. I'm afraid potential coaches are not going to want to deal with all that It seems like the guy just leaves a trail of destruction everywhere he goes.

He’s mentioned this before, the iPhone mic just messes with him. As an audio engineer, it’s likely some automatic noise reduction. Zoom does it too and it drives me crazy. You can turn it off but it’s a pain. They also apply compression.

KSR audio quality drives me INSANE. I could improve it so much, radio engineers are usually not known for being well versed, but more just knowing what button to push when, and less of the concepts behind it.

I come from the touring band world and now do corporate stuff. But it KILLS me when Matt “buzzes” (without getting technical) the “microphone”…. He’s overloading the pre amp. Anywaaaayyyy

The other issue is UConn has their parade on Saturday, he wouldn't make a decision until then at the earliest. And then would probably enter a jostling period betwen UConn and UK. Could take a couple of weeks.

Likely adaptive filters. First of all he’s loud as hell. So the app thinks it’s hearing an abundance of 2K to 6K because small mics are especially sensitive to that anyway. So it cuts out that frequency automatically and BOOM, lisp city. You can make anyone have a lisp if you EQ them a certain way, but the app does it automatically.
