* Back to Benny Hill, that is on the list of late-night shows that will always be a staple of mine as a kid.
Others:
- Saturday Night's Main Event (whenever it was aired)
- Tales From the Darkside (still the scariest theme song to me)
- WTBS Night Tracks (I bet I had a dozen VHS tapes recording those all night on a weekend)
- "Skinemax" I remember getting the HBO/Cinemax schedule guides in the mail and going to straight to the late-night Friday and Saturday lineups.
"Hell yes, a "Real Sex" on HBO at 11:00, and then a new "Emmanuelle" on Cinemax at 12:00!"
* Added to bucket list: drive the whole Pacific Coast Highway.
* If I'm picking a soundtrack to listen to on that trip, I'd be fine with the songs on the first 90 minutes of "Goodfellas."
Just music that I'd love to drive with the Pacific winking at me to the right of the venture (we are going North to South). It ends at Del-Mar race track.
* Elementary school packed lunch:
- Kahn's bologna sandwich (with smashed up Grippo's BBQ chips on it)
- Andy Capp's fries
- Fudge Round
- Can of Mountain Dew
My friends were always in awe; not sure why they never replicated if they were so enamored.
* Christ, Netflix's new true crime doc, "Girl in the Picture" is one of the twisted, evil, sick, and heartbreaking ones I've ever seen. Must see.
* Go-to sleep medications:
- Cabin Alone in the Alaskan Wilderness - Dick Proenneke on repeat. That was guy was the ultimate man.
- The Bob Ross playlist. Instant relaxation.
* Found an old Mike Warren and Jimmy the Greek's Basketball Forecast magazine from 1990.
According to their gambling formula, UK was at the same "Team Strength" (31) as Drake, Fairleigh-Dickinson, Hawaii, Illinois State, Northeastern, Rice, and Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Dark times, my Wildcat friends.
* As a member of Team Summer Weather guy, I can fully say I am ready to fast forward to three months and get me some Keeneland and Cats football in my life.
It seems to always be the Monday after first weekend of that track that the weather drastically changes.
* Ray Charles - "You Don't Know Me." <---perfection.
