I call 'em as I see 'em. Your latest post (and other recent ones as well) has a very obvious bias. You're quick to call out the Cal critics but you let his defenders slide. You're welcome to clear that up, but I see you making no effort to do so. You don't get away with claiming to be the man in the middle here.
It's quite simple.
There are maybe a total of 3 "defenders" that are behaving like asshats. The rest of the "defenders" have good points and don't lower themselves to the level of name calling and berating.
There are easily 60+ (maybe more) "haters" that are behaving like asshats. Many of those people make good points, but their delivery is just awful. They can't seem to be able to hold a discussion without name calling, berating anyone that doesn't agree with them, or in a non-derogatory/non-inflammatory way.
I am not letting "defenders" slide for the same **** behavior you and your crew are doing, day in, day out, hourly, thread after thread after thread. There just aren't even close to as many of them as there are the others (in fact, if you look a little bit harder, you'll find where I have in fact poked at them - Ed, kybassfan and JFCats - those are the three most aggressive and frequent "defenders" whose style is also inflammatory/derogatory towards "haters"). But what's funny? If you knew anything about the board folks that have been here for a while, you'd know that JFCats - someone you firmly believe is a "hater" - is one of the most ardently negative dudes in game threads. That guy bitches and moans about Cal, his style, failures, etc., literally all game - even in games where we've blown out huge opponents (I've regularly called him our resident Debbie Downer). kybassfan - well, that dude is always negative, seems to hate everyone, regardless of your position on this Calipari debate. So I just look at him and think "whatever, dude...". Ed3232323 or something like that - he's a tough one. He sunshine pumps like good old HerrosHeroes used to be notorious for, is very regularly calm and shows respect for other fans, but at the same time can flip and run off a set of 50 in-thread arguments laced full of derogatory "moron", "idiot" names. I'm in here a lot reading and I have a good grasp on who handles themselves in an uninviting manner vs. those that are easy to talk to. So far, aside from some random trolls popping in defending Cal that I see once in a while, the three above are the only ones that I regularly see from the "defender" side that uses the same poor tact that nearly all of the anti-Cal side uses.
When you are the loudest and most obnoxious by far, it just seems to you that only you and your crew are getting poked at. There are more of you Cal-has-to-go types with debate tactics that drop to the level of bullies than there are the other extreme saying Cal should definitely stay forever. Just my observation.
And yes, I'm dead in the middle and any number of people here that have seen me posting over the years knows this (
@Cawood86 ). I am fed up with Cal's inability to evolve with today's game. I was fed up 3-4 years ago with this one-and-one schtick (and was VERY vocal about it). I'm tired of his excuses and inability to change or get away from this NBA style crap offense/defense, but not quite yet on the "fire him" bandwagon. I guess let's just say I have 1-2 years of "patience" left in the tank. However, at no point do I ever want to be the kind of classless fan that many here have been this past 2 weeks, regardless of which side of the debate I end up on.
