If Strokin's kid gets beaten up by a kid named Colin, that is a massive parenting failure on his part, imo.
Besides my dad, who doesn’t know how to text, I think PTI is the only human I know who just calls to chat. It’s actually a nice little change of pace.

I probably spend at least an hour a week chatting on the phone with my buddies, probably more. Got in the habit when one of my friends was going through a divorce and he drove all over creation for his job so he would give me a call just because he was lonesome and depressed. I made it a priority during COVID and I'm really glad I did.

Now I vastly prefer a good phone call to endless texts -- especially effing group texts.

* Toby Keith should be poet laureate, imo.

Justice will be served and the battle will rage
This big dog will fight when you rattle his cage
And you'll be sorry that you messed with
The U.S. of A.
'Cause we'll put a boot in your ***
It's the American way

* The last American combat fatality in Afghanistan occurred in February 2020. So assuming COVID has killed at least one service member, it is infinitely more deadly in the last year than the Taliban.

I think it is really, really stupid to give up an American military base in China's backyard when we've benefitted greatly by keeping troops in Germany and Japan indefinitely. But what do I know.

* The amount of needless emails and phone calls in professional life has gotten insane. I am honestly not sure how anyone actually accomplishes anything productive when it seems like all anyone does now is just ask endless amounts of redundant questions rather than actually working.

* If Andy f***s up UK football with any delta variant nonsense, I'm going to explode. I really need a packed Commonwealth Stadium with people rocking out and not even pretending to be sober.

I 100% avoided divorce by NOT building that house a few months back and I know that because this little 600 sq ft in the basement I’m doing may lead to one.

OMG females are the densest set of humans ever!

But I want!!!!!! Listen you pay $1 toward this and I’ll do EVERYTHING you want, just $1. Also this is for 3 boys all of whom are about to be teenagers! Your walk in shower steps out onto a damn marble floor, that’s not going in the basement so what you want doesn’t mean jackshit here!

I just upped my life insurance, please someone, anyone I’m target practice.......get to blasting!

LaRosas is theme park quality pizza. Which is exactly why it is served at Kings Island.

Actually was NOT impressed with Newport Pizza Co. On a rec. (maybe WCC) I tried it, meh. Izzys however, never disappoints.

Jets is indeed a nice chain pizza, but GD that crust will get you.

Was in the stands to Witness UK beating Bama with KY boy Shaun Alexander on their squad.

IQ / Maxey are just raking in Summer League. Just crushing youngbloods' souls as they are trying to earn a spot in the league. Shut them down, nothing to prove, almost unfair.

Phoenix has 2 Jalen / Jaleen Smith's on their roster (odd).

Middle son (26) gets married tomorrow, he about to drain me. "Dad do you have $2500 I can "borrow" to finish paying for wedding venue, I have to have it by 4PM today." This was about 1PM. I am also about to strangle my soon to be daughter in-law. A couple weeks ago she sends me a text "Hey dad, need to wear Blue slacks, white shirt, blue sport coat and tan shoes for the wedding." Are you FN kidding me ? I am not in the wedding and being told WTF to wear ? Thought about rolling in wearing shorts, golf polo, and Nike Zooms. If not for my son, I would have proved a point and wore it, but I caved and was a good Daddy in-law.

Seeing Michael Beasley and Kenneth Faried playing Summer League is "odd".

Feel terrible for Warren Co. South. Kid test positive for Rona hours before their game v/s Ohio and the whole team got sent home. If they had beat Ohio(they beat them in the first game of the region bracket), they where guaranteed a spot in the LLWS as the International teams are not playing this year, so top 2 from regions advance. I hainted them bragging on them.

Heat is unbearable, ready for some early fall type weather, done with summer.

"Densest" is a tad extreme. More able to turn nothing into a raging inferno is more accurate.

I am having to explain why, even though she loves HER marble floor, these 3 teenage boys don’t care! $100 for some waterproof LVT is “fine”. Not to mention the granite vanity top just to sit an actual sink bowl on top of wasn’t necessary for kids that are basically saying dad/Uncle Rob you don’t even have to paint can we just throw mattresses on a floor and hang a sheet up for doors!

They don’t need or want all this luxury crap!

My frustration is on 1000000000. Oh and it all needs to be done tomorrow.

::uci gun fired at my head::

To rent an apartment would have been cheaper for 1 year than this basement and I’ve done all the framing and drywall myself.

Coming out of retirement to say:
  1. I make my own pizzas and they’re world class
  2. When purchasing pizza from a restaurant, I prefer pizzas cooked in those NY style ovens where the dough is on a hard surface, as opposed to the chain approach where a pie goes on a wire rack and slowly fed through an oven. It makes the crust better.
  3. @PTI (pti) - Please let me know what ridiculous conspiracies I've believed in (other than the Cleveland mafia infiltrating UK basketball bask in the late 90's/early 2000's causing us to miss like 75% of covers and me to lose a ton of money).
  4. @MattJonesKSR should move out to Norton Commons. He can live next to me and Doug Cobb.

Said it was like the Truman Show. All the houses look the same. Lots of golf carts. Nothing about white Wayne or a madman waving a gun around.
Doesn't he live in the Highlands near the Back Door bar? Such diversity in home design in that area....

A lot of the houses look similar in the area I live in. The old side homes do not. Not sure what he's talking about.

He's correct about the golf carts, that's about it.

We’re on the mandate here now for events, bars, restaurants, etc. As of last night. Need proof of vaccine or negative test. Don’t agree with it, but…

Governor just gave an interesting stat. 2.1 million Louisianans are vaxxed. 3.8 million doses.

8 hospitalizations from shot side effects. 0 deaths.

I don’t “care” if you get your shot or not, you’re just a giganticly huge dumbass if you don’t.

I'm no expert in fake IDs and the like, but my vaccine card is the pretty easy to forge.
The dude didn't give me one on the first visit, so I told him I want one on the second. So it is scribbled on and doesn't have the dose ID on there. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Definitely not trying to own this thought but could you imagine how much healthier Americans would be if we treated our obesity and mental health problems with the veracity we do of monitoring the people that did what was asked of them by getting vaccinated against covid?

And sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I hope the NYC and NO local economies crater for these vaccine passport mandates. I want nothing more in government to fail harder than that right now. FFS are people really going to just shrug off that the same f'ing morons that made our response to covid significantly worse than it ever needed to be also dictate how you're going to live your f'ing life after you already followed their rules to this point?

True story about the Bama game. A man and his son seated behind me, all game dad is yelling "Shaun Alexander for 6 yards, 8 yards, 15 yards, etc. etc. Got on my last MFN nerve. Near the end of the game, the son asked dad "Dad can I take a picture?" Dad replies "Son I have 1 left and I want to take a picture of the score board after the game." When Couch hit Craig Yeast for the 26 yard TD in OT to win it, I turned around and said to the dickhead "Sir, can I give you my name and address and have you mail me a photo of the scoreboard? I would love to have one." Ole boy grabbed his sons arm and said "Come on son." Off they went.

Interesting footnote, Anwar Stewart had a INT return for a 68 yard TD to give UK the lead 34-31 with under 7 minutes to go. Bama kicked a FG with 8 seconds left to send it to OT. UK won the toss and elected to defend. Bama fumbled a completed pass on the possession. UK had a holding penalty on its possession, then on 2nd and 15 from the 30, Couch completed a 4 yard pass the play before hitting Yeast for the 26 yard TD on 3rd and 11.

Man, names like Stewart, Yeast, Couch, Anthony White, Derek Homer, Kio Sanford (one of my all time favs), James Whalen, Jeff Snedegar, Littleton Ward, Eric Kelly, brings back fond memories. John Schlarman was on that squad. Former president Jimmy Carter was the punter. It was Tim Couch's 5th game as a Wildcat, he threw for 355 / 5 TD's / 3 INT's. First time beating Bama in 75 years. 5-6, five wins was UL, @Indiana, Bama (20th ranked), UL Monroe, and @Vandy. #1 Florida beat us 55-28, #16 LSU 63-28, and #5 UT 59-31.

Season stats :
Tim Couch - 363 / 547 / 3884 yds. / 37 TDs / 19 INTs.
Anthony White - 129 rushes / 723 yds. / 4 TDs and 59 REC. / 453 yds. / 4 TDs.
Derek Homer - 88 rushes / 502 YDs. / 2 TDs. and 31 REC. / 364 YDS. / 2 TDs.
Craig Yeast - 73 REC. / 873 YDS. / 10 TDS.
Kevin Coleman - 52 REC. / 621 YDS. / 8 TDs.
Kio Sanford - 36 REC. / 516 YDS. / 5 TDs.

Counting Homer UK had 6 receivers with over 350 yards. Jimmy Robinson (366yds. / 2 tds) and Lance Mickelson(377 yds. / 8 tds.) gave UK a stout WR group, probably best in team history. Whalen was just getting started. Yeast - Coleman - Sanford - Robinson - Mickelson with White and Homer coming out of the backfield was deadly.

Love looking back at the older teams and seeing what studs we had on some ****** teams.

LOL, reading Sports Reference I found some truly amazing (bad) stats from previous teams.

In 1996 Billy Jack lead the team in passing with 967 yards FOR THE YEAR. had a whopping 5 TDs with 5 INTs.

Not to be outdone, the stout 1-10 94 team had Antonio O'Ferral with 642 yards. Jeff Speedy was not far behind with 580 yards. And we think our QB situation recently has been bad. You youngsters have it good.

We older guys it is a wonder we even still follow football, diehard or dumbasses would explain it.
From 2000-2005 UK went a robust 20 wins / 48 losses. Take out the great (for then) 7-5 02 team, we had a 13-43 record. It is not a coincidence UK / Bengals are located so close together. That was after the 94-97 **** stain years.
94 - 1-10
95 - 4-7
96 - 4-7
97 - 5-6
Combined 14-30.

Add Those 2 stretches combined would be 34-78. 10 effin years of absolute ****** football, WTF the SEC kept us is amazing. They should have booted our *** to the Sunbelt or Conference USA.
