You take Garrison Brooks in a heartbeat. Preseason ACC Player of the Year. Doesn’t matter that he didn’t have a great year the talent and potential is there
It is OK IF they have to set out a year. I understand that some players can't get along with a coach. I think if a coach leaves, then the player or players should be able to go to any school without setting out. If the coach leaves, you and I know that players go to a school for the coach, not the school , 90% of the time. If the player just wants to leave the school, then I feel he should set out a year. Just my opinion. Not trying to start an argument, and I don't think you are. Just discussing the issue as far as I can tell.We should have never taken Kyle Macy, Mark Pope or Heshimu Evans by your logic.
Am I understanding you or is your issue with a one year guy?
Does respecting God include showing respect for Cal on a Kentucky website that thousands of people see and read or is that beyond what God would teach?

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!
He didn’t have the measurables that NBA general managers love.Cal should have recruited Kessler to begin with. Another dumb *** move.
Can't evaluate talentCal should have recruited Kessler to begin with. Another dumb *** move.
Not my hero! Does two wrongs in life, make it OK? I guess I'm from the "Old School," where we earn what we get, and in basketball, not poaching someone else's player, after his coach has worked with him and made him better. Especially if I didn't recruit him out of high school. That's my opinion, but everyone is entitled to their own.

You’d rather have Ware over G Brooks? Have you seen Ware play? He’s not remotely good. You can’t count on a single player staying more than 1 year. So always take the best availableI’d take him
Edit: actually idk, if it means Ware transferring then I wouldn’t. We need guys to stay a few years. Keep Ware and develop him
So you want a team full of new players like this past year? We see what that did. Having a team full of new players isn’t going to work like you’re thinking. Need some guys who know the system and can help the new guys adjust. Usually 4 or 5 is needed and Ware can be very valuable. You’d rather have Ware over G Brooks? Have you seen Ware play? I’m saying that no one is staying 3-4 years at hardly any program in America anymore, starting this year. It’s stupid to try to count on a kid stating 4 years when they’ll inevitably leave prior. Take the best kids possibleSo you want a team full of new players like this past year? We see what that did. Having a team full of new players isn’t going to work like you’re thinking. Maybe he wants a college experience and degree that’s not a total farce. No way he would leave UNC for Kentucky.
You are spot on...Cal has gone from a failed OAD to trying to plug the leaks in this UK program with transfers. His approach, to me, is so ill-founded and stupid that I feel dumber than I am for even talking about the madness. Cal has lost his mind and is losing the fans in droves. Why do we keep taking these players from another school? Is that how you build a team, or do you recruit good players, who will stay more then one year. Playing together more then one year, will allow the players to go from being individuals, to being team players. The players Cal recruits are only interested in one thing, getting to the NBA. That was so evident this year, especially with Boston. We have a coach who doesn't give a damn about UK, and winning a National Championship, only about getting players to the NBA. Is that what UK is all about?

Always take talent. I don't care if they are a one year player or they have been here 10 years. So you want a team full of new players like this past year? We see what that did. It’s not out to those who know basketball. The kid will be a player and we would be lucky to get him.The jury is still out on Kessler. He played less than 10mpg as a Freshman.
Brooks is a full grown man and can carve out space in the paint. Something Sarr could not do, and that's something we badly needed this year (among other things). Did you guys not see Brooks and Bacot eat our lunch in the paint this past season? This sounds alot like Sarr all over again.
You take Garrison Brooks in a heartbeat. Preseason ACC Player of the Year. Doesn’t matter that he didn’t have a great year the talent and potential is there
Brooks plays with a physical presence, Sarr's game was more finesse with a tendency to disappear when the game turned physical, Brooks brings physicality, scoring and rebounding something Kentucky needs now. This sounds alot like Sarr all over again.
Ham, so you think it's OK for a coach not to recruit a player, but when another coach works with him, makes him a good player, then, a coach who didn't think he was good enough for him to recruit, and work with him, poaches him away from the coach who made him better. Pretty soon, the small schools will not be able to keep good recruits. I can see why Cal would recruit transfers. He is not a good enough teacher to make a player better. If a player is good enough, he can go to any school and make the NBA. For your info, it's none of your damn business who I pull for. Your such a smart a$$, let's put some money where our mouth is. Let me know when you want to meet at UK and make a large donation. I'll match yours, if you will match mine. What do you say?So it’s UK’s fault they transferred? Wouldn’t that mean that the “little school” would just have to recruit some under the radar player again and coach them up? Like how is this Kentucky’s fault? If a kid gets better and thinks that transferring to a more recognized school will benefit both their development and NBA aspirations how is that Kentucky’s fault?
Just cheer for EKU and be done w it.
It’s funny, I didn’t read that all about Sarr here last summerSarr's game was more finesse with a tendency to disappear when the game turned physical

I prefer flying a helicopter.Well now, that escalated quickly. Seems to me the smart *** would be the one doing the whole “let’s meet up and I’ll show you how rich I am” routine.
On a freaking message board. Knowing full well that will never happen.
Let’s meet up and I’ll show you my Lamborghini. Unless it’s a Tuesday cause I’ll be driving my helicopter.

Evidently the SEC is way more physical than the ACC, he even said that, I would say it takes a season to tell how players are going to play, wouldn't you. It’s funny, I didn’t read that all about Sarr here last summer
He named the schools he is considering and Miss State wasn't on it.I would love to have him. He’s going to Mississippi St. his dad coaches there. It’s where he originally committed to out of high school. All this talk about how good he isn’t, he will probably have 25 and 15 against us next season. You guys thst wouldn’t take him? Who on this current team could defend him?
I thought the same but somehow Miss St isnt on his supposed listHe’s going to Mississippi St. his dad coaches there. It’s where he originally committed to out of high school. Sarr was going to lead us to #9 last year. Now all the Pied Pipers say he was no good. Can’t make this stuff up.It’s funny, I didn’t read that all about Sarr here last summer
And it allows fans like you to complain regardless of what Cal does. This transfer rule is perfect for cal
It allows him a 2nd chance on guys he ignored out of high school
