I don't think I've ever heard of Wes Miller, and I tend to think of myself as an above average NCAA basketball fan.

He coaches UNCG. Been there about 10 years. Gets a lot of hype but not really performed to the hype he gets. He may kill at UNC though. Who knows?

They will probably go outside the family this time. They'll make overtures to Few or Stevens, but not publicly because both coaches will shoot them down.

Look at how much UK improved since december, remember the 1st game against kansas? UK was 20-30 points better than them in april.

I'm still hesitant to completely buy this, given the calendar. But his entire roster just left....

Roy won three titles at UNC. There’s only three active coaches with more than one title and he’s one of them.

I think it has everything to do with Dan Monson who Few was an assistant to in 1999. Monson gave up the reigns of Gonzaga after building it- headed to Minnesota and failed and then ended up at Long Beach State. Few has a good thing going. No reason to change it.

He’s comfortable. Little pressure there to win at the highest levels. He’s a hero getting to a final
Four. He’s a west coast guy, etc.

2nd in the past 4 seasons at a mid major that plays in a high school gym. Built by Mark Few.
Cal has access to the best facilities in college basketball and just lead us to the worst season in a century!

Will always respect him being one of the only coaches that would run with cal and Kentucky. Most teams always try to muck the game up and slow it down. We always have great games with UNC because they play fast with us.

3 NC’s in 18 seasons at UNC. He did well there.
He averaged 1 every six seasons.
Cal is averaging 1 every 12 and counting at UK!

He also averaged a good cheating program without getting zapped by the NCAA.

Smith one his first one, the academic fraud Carolina Way model was already in place so neither of his and none of Roy's were legit.

Guthridge coached 3 years and had 2 final fours. I think he was just fine.

Gotta wonder if ol Roy just could not adjust to coaching after UNC said that players had to actually go to class. Roy is a semi pro coach and not really a college coach at all.

Yes academic cheating went on but he still had to coach the players to success on the court.
Cal has failed in on court coaching with the amount of talent he’s had.

Yeah, I agree they were corrupt as hell and should’ve been given the death penalty and lost a title or titles. But they still played it. Doesn’t change that Roy had three teams win it.
