So he can rest easy in retirement, Roy is going to confess his role in advocating an entire fake academic program to be set up called African American Studies to keep "scholar athletes" like Rashad McCants and Julius Peppers focused on winning games and out of classrooms.

He's going to admit that Rashad McCants getting all As and making the Dean's List while admitting he never attended a class or wrote a paper disgraced the entire university and made a mockery of the work of everyone attending Chapel Hill before or since.

And he's going to confess to working with that felon who set up the "Wheels For Heels" program that gave basketball players cars to tool around in with guns and drugs.

And he's going to admit that Tami Hansborough was given a job that she later resigned from for sleeping with a guy in the AD's office while traveling on UNC's dime to watch her other son play at Notre Dame as a way to keep Tyler Hansborough a final year.

He's also going to finally tell how Will Graves happened to be running a drug selling operation out of one of Roy's properties.

All that done, he can retire with honor...

That’s a big one. It’s interesting to me that Roy will always be second fiddle to Dean - generally and especially among the Carolina faithful - when it seems pretty plain Roy has had a more productive career. Over 900 wins to 779 (?) for Dean, 3 titles to 2. And for younger folks who think Cal has underachieved with NBA talent, he can’t hold a candle to Dean. Cal’s NBA players were almost all here for their freshman season only - Dean had his stars for 4 years (a handful left as juniors). I know Roy irritated some people. I always found him likable.

I'm not sure about this. I think after Roy has been gone awhile he will be looked at as equal or better than Smith. It's crazy that Smith made 11 Final Fours and won only 2 titles.

Goodman with the "oh yeah, I knew about this Tweet". Seems like that would have been a pretty big time story to break. What a loser.

And the level of talent squandered by dean. Roy did much better.

I'm still hesitant to completely buy this, given the calendar. But his entire roster just left....
